Spica Pro MTL clone by Coppervape

On the skyline it does not matter that they are not aligned. There is distance between the outer bell and the juice holes, so the juice slips through to the cotton even if you cannot see the cotton.

Hmmm... Maybe not quite. I made another video for 3fvape where I show the problem more clearly. In the first experiment I blocked all the air holes on the deck. As you'll see I can still draw quite a bit of air through it. In the second experiment (at 1:02 in the video) I remove the o-rings...

    Phevanda Bell MTL RDA

Alex VapersMD did a review (with subtitles), but I don't think he went into the airflow much with regards to how it works for MTL

I sent them the video and image that I posted here. They wrote that they did not understand the problem and requested a new video. Made them a new video, we'll see what they'll answer.

But will the inner air holes be small enough for "proper" MTL? They seem kinda big, more like slots than holes.

There are som pics on Fasttech which shows the air channels quite clearly. Also, there is a (vertical) video from the manufacturer:

So I mean if you remove these o-rings (see pic) the top cap should not have any play. If it has play, then the air flow will be all over the place. Yeah, I have noticed that one. Seems interesting, but I am a little in doubt about wether or not it will do "proper" MTL, or at least at Kayfun...

Thanks. Also: If someone would try to remove the o-rings from the base, and see if the top cap wiggles that would be 100% helpful.

    Geekvape ammit mtl rda

Ok, thanks, I think I get it now. Mine is definetely not aligned right, as if I take off the o-rings from the base and put on the top cap, it wiggles around quite a bit (like I showed in my video). If it is supposed to be like you describe the inner chamber would fit snug on the base and it...

Thanks for input. So if I understand you correctly: You have measured the top of the base (where the visible ring in your picture is), and the bottom of the inner chimney with calipers? And you found the inner chimney to be larger? If so, would that not lead to a suboptimal airflow, like on mine?

Hmmm... It sounds like you did not quite get the right idea. I guess I am a lousy explainer. I meant blocking all the air holes on the deck, not the outer ones. I stuffed lots of plumbers tape in the air channel under the deck to achieve that. Here is a (....ty) drawing of the issue: So, in...

    Geekvape ammit mtl rda

Ok, so try this: 1. Take off the o-rings from the deck 2. Place the top cap over it Now, if the inner chamber seals well over the deck, there should be no play when you put the top cap on. You can see in my video that mine wiggles. If you look closely you can also see that there is distance...

    Geekvape ammit mtl rda

Hmmm... That might be a route to take. If I have to send it back it won't be worth the effort, but maybe I can get some dollars back. I got it from 3fvape, so we'll see about their customer support. I suspect, though, that this is a design flaw. If the tolerances were air tight, which is what...

    Geekvape ammit mtl rda

Ok, so I removed the o-rings on the deck, and here is the proof. The inner chamber is vastly larger than the deck, so it cannot seal the air properly: Edit: Makes me wonder if they even try to vape these products before pushing them to the market.

    Geekvape ammit mtl rda

Bad news, everyone: As I said in some other thread I'm not having luck getting a decent vape out of mine. Throat hit is harsh and vapor production is modest. It feels like I'm getting more heat than vapor. These things often indicate that the air is not hitting the coil optimally. So I tried...

    Best RDA for MTL

Sure, it is very much hit or miss. Sometimes it's a jackpot. On my SXK Le Concorde I changed the o-ring on the deck to a tighter one so it would come off a little bit easier, and I cleaned out some gunk from the screw holes. Apart from that it has worked 100% fine.

    Best RDA for MTL

Yeah... Just now I tried an experiment with the Ammit: I blocked the two angled airholes on the sides, only feeding air from underneath. Now the harsh throat hit is gone, but it still is a bit lacking in density and amount of vapor. I realise that vapor production is not the most important point...

    Best RDA for MTL

There are some new chinese offerings, like the Vapefly Galaxies, Berserker MTL and the Ammit MTL. Personally I had no luck with any of them. They produce harsh throat hit and sloppy vapor. It is like you get more heat than vapor. The Ammit I am still testing, and seems like I might get decent...

possible to add only one coil instead two to get more ohm?

Oh.. I assumed it was regulated. My bad.

possible to add only one coil instead two to get more ohm?

If you are using a mech, yes, but if your mod is regulated no. So in other words, if you have dual coils and run them at 35 watts you should get the same heat/power as a single coil twice the size of one of the dual coils at 35 watts. Just adjust the wattage and your (regulated) mod will...
