Thanks Kat! I wish I had more time to devote to creating mods. I get a lot of fulfilment having such an intimate relationship to the ecig community. But I'll still be around and hang out in the forum from time to time. And im definitely still around for repairs and upgrades, gotta get my mod...
Here's a preview of the last of the ManCaveMods...
These DNA30 mods will have Phosphor Bronze battery contacts and PTC resettable fuses and larger gauge wiring. Their the nicest mods yet, too bad its the last :(
The next batch of mods will be ready on wednesday. I will list them wednesday afternoon when I get off of work. This is going to be my last batch of mods I am making. I have been working on this batch for well over a month, it is getting harder and harder to find time to make mods. But I will...
Its possible for the spring to compress a bit from a drop. If the spring collapsed it would have been from a battery inserted backwards and it would be burnt up a bit. Its fine to stretch it a bit to help make contact. If it becomes a problem let me know and I will put in a new spring if it...
Unfortunately they cannot be upgraded. The battery holders are just a bit bigger than the compartment of the previous mods. I had to make this new batch about 3/16" taller to barely squeeze them in.
This is the upgraded MCM30. I've put in a nice battery holder with phosphor bronze contacts. Also added 2 PTC fuses to add more safety. The PTC fuses will stop batteries from going thermal (that hasn't happened in my mods, thank god) It will also help protect the electronics when a battery is...
Howdy folks... It has been quite around here ;) I actually haven't had a chance to do a whole lot with the mods till recently, been super busy for a long time. I just started wiring them up today. I'll post a little preview of the upgrades here in a bit.
Well.. I'm still doing a little testing, which gets kinda sketchy forcing a battery to short circuit. But I think I came up with an acceptable solution. Also the battery contacts are getting a much needed upgrade to a phosphor bronze which will help continuity compared to the current springs.
It is so easy to slap a battery in backwards. The biggest downfall of the DNA's is the lack of reverse polarity protection. This next batch of mods are designed to prevent such incidents ;)
Sorry dude, I'll go back through my messages and PM you back. I remember your mod, it was the very first DNA mod I built before I became a supplier. You have mod number zero! :)
Im still here. Not going anywhere. Just consider this "slow season" for ManCaveMods. I have a lot on my plate right now and find it increasingly difficult to balance, but I will soon have more time to crank out the art ;) and the flow of mods will be more consistent and plentiful.
