On a constant voltage device especially an eGo (3.4 volts) you want to use LR (low resitance) to get more vaper and throat hit, I like 1.5 ohm on my eGo. What resistance did you get? BTW congrats on 1 month stay with it you will figure it out and find your vape.
Those are to very different APV's one is a VV and the other a Hybrid (rebuildable attie). Also better depends on the user, but as far as new ones that I know of I think the smokteck provari looking stacked battery mod is coming and it's supposed to pack some serious power something like a 5 amp...
Yup, buy a cartomizer or clearomizer there fixed! j/k
You might want to try the silicone tops I used a ego tank for a short while, but moved on to a DCT for convenience.
You can try an e-power, they are longer than the ego 650 though. The batteries and switches are replaceable if either were to fail and they are 3.7 volts so you will get a little more power.
It a very flexible unit, great build quality, replaceable batteries at $8-12 each. You can use a variety of stuff on it from LR to SR to HR and still find that sweet spot that you like your juice to vape at. It's not for everyone and a KGO is fine as well.
I think the Lavatube, for the price, is definitely a nice way to get into VV vaping, but it is no Provari that's for sure. I would wait until the reviews are out on the new Lavatube 1.5 and the soon to arrive Lavatube 2.0. The 1.5 has upgraded internals and has upped the amp limit to 3.0 or 3.5...
It pretty subjective, so it's hard to say. But with that budget you can find something that you will like.
BTW: I have a Provari Mini and it's not much longer than an ego 650 it's something like 3.5", but it is definitely bigger in diameter something like 7/8".
Its recommended that you use the AW IMR, i'm not sure myself as I have been happy with the AWIMR and haven't ventured to buy any others although the new panasonics seem pretty interesteing in that size and I'm hopefull that they will produce them in 18350 and 18490 for my mini. You can ask other...
I don't own a lavatube cause of the 2.5 amp limit, but I have seen/read enough, imo, about the voltage inconsistency from enough sources (more than 5) that I deem it as being pretty accurate. JMHO
Edit: you can also ask in the Lavatube forum
The fiddling isn't with the battery but with the juice delivery. Attomizers, cartomizers, clearomizers, and such. I found the best thing for me was a cartomizer and a tank, but if your a light smoker I would think that a clearomizer or cartomizer with a drip tip is right up your ally. When it...
Flavor can be affected by the pg/vg, pg helps flavor and vg will kind of mute it. I use cartomizers for convenience although many say it mutes flavors and it does some but not enough to counter the benefit I experience with them in a tank. I use a attomizer and direct drip to try flavors before...
There are many e-cig/pv/apv out there, but to start I would recommend the following:
Cig look-a-like : Volt from smokless image
Better battery life (a step up) : Ego if you want a 650mah size battery (roughly same length as a cig-a-like, but bigger in diameter but are 3.4 volts
Another step...
Well if in fact the cause is the cartomizer dipping below 2.5 ohms then it's not necessarily the device that is at fault. I would try rotating 2 cartos to keep them from getting that hot and if you still experience issues than maybe it is the device. Maybe ask for an exchange or if you don't...
Well your useage may vary from his. IDK how long or consistent he is burning/using that carto at 6 volts maybe he doesn't use it long enough/consistent/constant enough for it to get hot enough to dip below 2.5 ohms.
That wil not be the solution either because what makes the vape is the watt and at. 6 volts and 3 ohms your getting 12 watts to get 12 watts outanything over 3ohms you would have to be over 6 volts.
I believe him absolutely and after re-reading I can see that if the resistance were to drop to 2.5 ohm during use then it would be very close to the wattage limit of 14.5 watts and at 2.48 (a further .02 ohm drop) would push it past the 14.5 watt limit. The attomizer can cool rapidly explaining...
BTW I have no problems pushing my Provari up around it's limits with any carto I have used so far (but I don't stay up at that level all day as it's not my preferred vape) , so I would definitely get with Provape on this issue.
Well what ratio of e-liquid are you using? Nic has a lot to do with throat hit and pg emphasizes both the throat hit and flavor while vg mutes both throat hit and flavor but provides more vapor and is smoother than pg. VV helps to produce more vapor as you can increase the power (watt's really)...
