I mostly TC vape and I can tweak the hit to be exactly the way I want it. Coil building is the same as normal, but you have lower ohm coil. One thing to be aware of is tank conductivity. Variances in resistance mechanically or by temperature can make it have hot or cold spikes. I test new tanks...
I’ve been building for TC for a couple of years and use 316L most of the time and it works perfectly. I know some older mods have trouble with the very low coefficient of stainless. The other big factor is poor conductivity through the tank that causes resistance variances which cause hot and...
I have two excellent TC mods; the Vaporesso Polar with the Omni 4.0 and the GTRS VBoy 200W with the YiHi SX500. I’ve been TC vaping for a couple of years and know the tech very well. The VBoy is better for rugged use and also has a recessed display. The Polar which is a very nice looking mod I...
I have the Aegis 100W and yes it is built like a tank. Another rugged mod is the VBoy 200W. It has a heavy housing a deep recessed display so it won’t get scraped up. It’s also a fabulous TC mode mod.
Yup. I've updated firmware on mods many times. This one though just doesn't update as has been the norm for other mods and stalls if you don't hold the fire button in. The firmware used was the SPCBAT18 version.
This morning I reloaded the firmware on my Polar, because it had some quirkiness in TC mode and the clock was running fast gaining about 20 minutes through a day. As sketchy as the app was loading the firmware and having it stall, I guess there were errors in it. It was still sketchy the second...
I would recommend getting a USB charger like one by Anker. The current mods can draw could cause the computer port to shut off. They don’t seem to limit their current by what the port limit is.
One thing about the $30 Zanflare C4 charger that I posted about earlier that I love besides the great battery testing features, that the majority of chargers out there don't do is charge at the rates you want. Most other chargers divide the charge current between cells, so that charging 4 cells...
I’ve been using TC mode for a couple years now mostly with SS 316L. With the 5 different mods I’ve had it’s worked well. My typical dual coil setup is twisted 24g at 0.1 ohm. Having a mod that accurately senses the resistance is important. My 2 best TC mods are the VBoy 200W and Polar. Both set...
I work in electronics and I'm very picky about battery chargers. So many are substandard. This 4 slot is my preferred charger these days. It charges most common cells with 4 different selectable current levels and it can test your battery stats and capacity. Out of a lot of browsing nothing else...
No, that's totally normal. Mods these days are intelligent enough to deal with that in watt mode. I use SS because I exclusively use temperature control mode. The mod senses the resistance change and calculates the temperature of the coil from it. Now nickle or titanium changes much more...
I vape around 50 watts in TC mode and sometimes up to 70 watts. It all depends on preference and what tank and build you're using. I can be happy with 30 watts with a lower airflow to get the density I like.
That mod is malfunctioning. A workaround would be to dial the power down when you change batteries so it doesn't carbonize the coil and then dial it back up when that power surge stops. Ultimately I'd consider getting another mod.
It can be really variable depending on how much you vape and how demanding you are of the coils. I use a Troll RTA at 50 watts and I can get close to a month of use before I need to clean and rewick it. In higher powered or temperature use it may only last a couple of days. Also the juice can...
That's an odd one. The only thing that comes to mind is that it's from the power converter. It's basically a switching power supply. In a mod it takes the battery voltage and varies it up and down to supply power to the atomizer. Usually they operate above audible frequencies, but if for some...
It's generally not an issue. I generally have no problem if the resistance is off by a couple of hundredths of an ohm or so. Usually if the resistance is higher than that it's caused by added resistance in the tank. I had a new tank that added around 0.04Ω and it would jump around. That IS...
You're welcome. I kinda wanted to check out the Mac app anyway. It just won't recognize that mod and being that the app date is last December and the notes only reference the Revenger mod it's a good bet that it's not gonna work.
