    I just took the first one apart and it didn't appear to have actually burnt anything, both layers of filler are white, the inner tube is white though the center of the wick where the coil wraps around was a bit blackened but I'm guessing that's normal. So I just topped off the last problem...

    Yeah 3.7v, been the same battery about a day it would probably meter around 3.9v but I'm sure it drops some under load. Ultrafire 2600 mAh protected. I measured the cartomizer resistance all right on at 2.0ohms.

    I smoked cigs for 12 years then a pipe for 2, two fridays ago my vaping gear arrived and I haven't smoked (or even wanted to) since opening the boxes.. Packed up my pipes into storage later that night. I think it helps to become obsessed with vaping. :)

    Thanks for the suggestions so far. The volt looks nice but I don't really trust the auto battery or the limited juice selection. dormouse, she is a light smoker - not at all during work and only in the evenings at home, virginia slim ultra lights.
