They appear to have promptly ignored my email in the order in which it was received.
I wouldn't order from them again; they appear to have forgotten who is servicing whom in this relationship.
From their newsletter this month:
I'll be missing my Markimar's Watermelon Bubblegum, which I've been ordering exclusively _forever_ - but I wouldn't get near this with a ten foot pole. The gall in just blatantly thinking they can ship all my personally identifiable information including...
Any time there's a retail storefront, there's retail storefront overhead. If you want that convenience, you pay for it. If you don't - well then don't. Doesn't seem excessive to me for retail overhead.
Neo - sounds similar to my experiences, thanks. It seems like far too much of a time-sucker to return them. I rake them into a drawer. If I ever have another one with a bad switch, I've got a boatload of switches to replace 'em with.
Chemically these things have been cheapened to the point...
I wouldn't say "not good enough" - I'd say "not consistent with my experiences, or with the commercial analysis I did on the batteries for a particular vendor".
If they're working that well for you, I must be getting all the bad ones. Not statistically impossible, just improbable. Or someone...
Nope - both chargers check fine. On the O'scope they're actually both quite clean.
I mentioned the switch-type by way of identifying the battery generation. The older [better] batteries may predate you, looking at your join date.
MorandirSir - Not referring to switch issues in this case, but electrochemical. Failing to charge after ~50 cycles. Where the older batteries were good for two or three hundred plus charges, current batteries from (at least) some vendors are good for 50-60ish cycles.
How about batteries that don't stink electrochemically? I'd like to find kr8* autos that will hold up for more than 30-45 days. This ordering new ones every month for flat failing-to-charge batteries is getting old. The earlier batteries I was using that had the diaphragm-type switches were...
I'm glad you approve - I thought so.
My friends call me "Pandora". I have an odd total recall for song lyrics. Any odd word or phrase will instantly trigger total recall of every song lyric containing it. I've never been sure if it's a compliment or not.... ;)
