In my defense, it was never metal to metal.. I'm not that daft. The jaws of the vice grips had copious amounts of electrical tape (Only becuase the soft jaw pliers lowes claimed to have didn't seem to exist in the store). The finish might just be "gunk" from the tape.. unsure until I polish... -

Voltage should be constant regardless of load. And I doubt he's going to build a meter to give time in days. Plus my last build started at 3.5, but ended up at 7.4, I had to switch batteries to drive it, and even then, it was week, but world record if it was just ohms. I suspect what we are... -

I missed this page in the vaping handbook, and simply don't worry about it. Sure, some get better with aging, some don't. I've yet to have a case where something is unvapable at delivery, and OMG a month later. My experience has been like wine.. if it's good it can get better, but it's still...- Zogem

So the way I'm reading this.. If I take one of my multitudes of metal cartos, and use a pipe cutter tool (three rollers and a blade), I can use that to compress the carto housing onto the iO6 (sans blade of course) , I can get a good seal? Do I need to put anything between? -Z -

I accidentally did this. The contact is on the inside of the locking ring, not the bottom. As long as it's not dangling down to the center post, there is no possible way to short. Everything near the locking nut is on the negative side of the coil. Rebuilt with the double wick, and am finally... -
