I had one of those. It was my first box mod. It is a lot like the gripper but doesn't read resistance. It had some issues with the battery compartment but worked pretty good. I gave mine away when I got my Gripper.:)

Yes it is very stable with either one batt or two as long as both caps are screwed in flush and yes very comfortable with using your thumb. I like it better than the button on the MVP.:)
