    are you pressing straight in all the way - then tilting the button to the side ? someone may have a better explanation for testing maybe search ECF for a better explanation But basically put a lead of the multimeter on each pole and ck the voltage and ck the battery

    The neg side will be separated w or w/o the O rings the separation built in is between the batt and Pos+ post and also facilitates the soft connection which cuts down on maintenance. But if it works for you thats great too
