That is awesomely awesome. I only had three weeks of inpatient incarceration and it sucked every day all day. You ought to demand they throw you a party. Draft beer, live music, speech! Speech! How'd you do it?

Hard to say if there's pitting, but that discoloration definitely indicates that there is not a good electrical connection. Bad connections are a bane of mechanical mods. They rob power and generate heat where there should be none.

Pulse 80W is a winner. I've tried it with the Pulse 24, a Pulse 22, a Wasp and the Nudge. Perfect resistance read every time. It will take me a day or two of tinkering to digest the manual and try stuff. Temperature control is done right. You can either use the coil resistance the mod reads...

I'm still praying over whether to semi-retire this year and just work on projects I'm interested in, or push it three more years. Cool thing is that if I decide to slow down, I can reduce my hourly rate and take projects that aren't fast-tracked. I never miss schedule milestones but I'm...

Which one? The SMM or the Serpent Mini? I have a Serpent Mini and it has been ok. I like tanks that have more airflow than that one does. Flavor is outstanding. I have that and the Ammit in about the same category. They're grrrreat for getting a little nip o' nicotine on the stealth but when I...

Pulse 80W and Battlestar RTA #3 are due in today. The Pulse 24 beat out the Nudge for the open spot on the new squonker. No worries--the nudge looks and works well on my Eleaf Invoke.

    Question about MTL vs DTL

The greater the metal mass in the coil, the more energy used to heat it. Resistance is futile. The lesser the metal mass in the coil, the less energy used. Resistance is still futile. Greater air and juice flow are needed to cool a greater coil mass. Less air and juice flow are needed to cool...

Hello! New to DIY. Nicotine seems peppery

I only get a pepper flavor when I forget to change an older recipe's nic concentration from 6mg/ml to 3mg/ml or when I over do a flavor strength. I finished a nearly four year old bottle of nic that I got when MBV was still serving the DIY market. It tasted fine from start to finish. I have...

Hello! New to DIY. Nicotine seems peppery

Peppery flavor in juice made with freebase (not salts) liquid nicotine usually means too strong of a concentration. It may make you cough, too. It may have been mislabeled, or you might have slipped a decimal point in the recipe mix.

6 months vaping, I'd love opinions on where to go next

Worth noting--I have two other non-squonk mods with unsatisfactory hard coded temp control for Stainless wire: the Battlestar Mini and the Exus Ark. The former fires too hot; the latter too cool. However, both have a separate mode for entering a custom temp coefficient, and I was able to find...

6 months vaping, I'd love opinions on where to go next

I have a Pulse 80W that is allegedly due here tomorrow. I'm an avid TC vaper too, and I can't wait to try it. It's a no-lose situation for me--the other two squonker models I have don't even have variable wattage. Just having a serviceable VW squonker is a step up from mech or regulated bypass...

Every time I see/hear the word "handbag" it reminds me of what we used to call a physical altercation between two high maintenance females. Handbags at five paces. Later on, I learned that high maintenance had nothing to do with how much money was needed to get all the girly girl stuff like...

@jfcooley... don't complicate things. That Therion is a fine mod. My philosophy has always been that if it's made in China, it will fail. It doesn't matter if it costs $20 or $200, it's fate is sealed. That being the case, I'd rather have ten $20 units than one $200 deal. Or four $50 cheap or...

    Why is Smok so popular?

My only experience with a Smok mod was an Al85 that died within weeks of unboxing. I have two Baby Beasts with the RBA. They perform very well. Only one is being used. I use the TFV8 RBA in a Geekvape Illusion tank. It's excellent--it turned a 5ml cloud monster into a 5ml flavor monster.
