Only a Scot or a descendant therefrom would use that term in casual conversation or know what it means. I have always been wary of buying expensive electronic stuff from FastTech, just because a return shipment has to go back overseas. That said, my Smoant Battlestar is the only mod I've...

I am working on a pecan praline ice cream flavor. I have about 681 "test batches" that are good, but not "there." I'm surprised you haven't gotten into DIY yet. Your palate is even more decadent than mine is.

So, I'm at my oldest daughter's last night for BBQ. Ribs, chicken and bacon wrapped tenderloins, with fixins (I brought the tater salad, cornbread and sweet tea). Great meal--that young woman has mad BBQ skillz. A friend of her fiance was fascinated by my Pulse 80W and the fact that I built my...

Picture of Your Setup Part 3!

I gave this a Winner tag because there's no way I keep them all straight, mash all of their buttons AND get the shot.

I don't need it, but I did need some spare parts and squonk refill bottles from FT, so I tossed a Cylon in the cart. It's @lupinehorror's fault--that pic just reached out and said "yeah, man."

I'll bet it was fabulous. All eye-rolling juices do this. Cats murder small creatures. Dogs chase cars. Cigarettes cause cancer and great juices gunk coils. Temp control can delay this, but it is as inevitable as death. I didn't get arrested last night because Lucy stole one of Child #4's...

I just realized that I am 56 years old, and I have never been behind bars. There's never been a warrant out for my arrest, either. That doesn't mean I've never done anything illegal. Just that I've never been caught. Hmm... What's errybody doin' tonight?

@Hightech Redneck ... my 10 minute plumbing jobs also always turn into days-long projects. I'll never learn, either. Got one coming up Saturday.

I knew that I should not have posted that picture. It's all y'all are thinking about. I really wanna make good coffee. The stuff I got tastes awesome but I don't wanna re-wick and gross the cat out every bottleful.

Anybody have suggestions for a good coffee extract that isn't a wick-and-coil death sentence? This was my build after a single 7ml bottle of my last batch made with TFA Coffee.

I'm fuller than a tick on Roseanne Barr's ... oh, never mind. I'm mod shopping again, and my $50 rule guideline is back in force. That was chicken and bacon fried rice. There were no leftovers and Lucy was disappointed.

You are bringing your case from the wrong angle. DIY isn't a hobby. Building your own atomizer coils isn't a hobby. Getting the right temp coefficient, build curve or Replay setting isn't a hobby. They are all part of vaping, which isn't a hobby, either. It's a smoking cessation/tobacco harm...

Nah, I still have it. As soon as this work project wraps up, I'll replace the hard drive and give it to a rising high school freshman of mine. My schedule is too tight to replace a drive, restore data, reinstall Office & simulation models, ad insanium. New system was up and running in half a day.

Awesome. I am also one year tobacco free. Yesterday. Today is my belly button birthday. I am a blessed-beyond-deserved 56. The only 'shiny' I've acquired recently is a new Dell Inspiron. Necessitated by the early death of an HP Pavilion's HDD. My Monte Carlo simulations worked that thing to...

The FastTech Thread for All FastTech Posts (Part 2)

Also, we have an awful porch pirate problem here. Local authorities have made headway by following UPS vans in unmarked vehicles, and popping members of a local gang of illegal aliens. Eighteen arrests this summer. All but two were illegals.

The FastTech Thread for All FastTech Posts (Part 2)

I'm late catching up. I've had packages sent 'standard ground', which means it originates to UPS who then delivers to my local post office. USPS takes it from there and delivers to me. Always takes at least one extra day. I ordered a beastly new Dell laptop on Friday last week. It shipped from...

Nice ride, @Letitia! I've been thinking about a new(er) truck. I don't need a full size truck anymore, but I've driven trucks since 1988. No new shinies to show off but I'm thinking about another squonker. Maybe the new Pico.

    Poor experience with SS316L

The best you could do is plot a curve specifically for that build. That's a first class PITA that only hardcore ECF'ers would undertake.
