Ok I think I get it now. Screw threads need to be filled and covered in juice before vaping. Then, the evaporating juice at the top leaves and creates a "suction" effect in the threads which brings new juice up.
Am I correct even if I don't use proper scientific names for what's happening?
That screw thing... are you screwing with us? I tried many many different machine screws I had on hand and none will bring any ejuice or water up.
Am I missing something?
Ceramic screw was mentioned. Googled it.
Price is high but could last.... a lifetime. :)

My personal experience with a similar setup is that it only gets better with time. The juice will cook a bit under the coil and on the wick, holding it in place with some juice gunk. Taste gets amazing. Vapor is a killer. Then it gets too gunky. So I remove the wick, clean it in PGA, burn PGA on...
I remember someone posting a temperature chart for Nichrome wire. It might be very similar to Kanthal A-1.
When I popped a few Kanthal A1 wires, I remember seeing (fast fast it was) it turning white like a camera flash. Probably the higher glow and white color associated with higher temp.

I do the same and every time I build a new coil, I can't believe it's working. Strange but works. The heavier the gauge, the better it seems to work for me. I now only use 30 and 28 AWG for this.
Always a bit smaller of a coil than the wick hole so as to have the unoxidized wick float inside...
We pay the same in Canada. 11.40$ for standard shipping 4-8 business days. Yeah we have the option to pay 6.80$ for economy shipping, ETA 1 to 4 weeks. Canada Post sucks for all. US or CA. :)
What's the kind of ink? Is it dye or pigment based? Make sure the paper & ink are compatible. I know dye inks are used in less expensive models and it does not do very well on glossy less porous surfaces.
Are the labels made for inkjet?
Send me a link to label brand and what's your printer model?
Thanks for the explanation. Excellent it is.
Yeah, I tend to word stuff as Yoda would. Don't know why. French is my mother tongue. Could be that. Green I am not. :)
Did you notice any difference with the Norpro (as it's made for cooking) compated to regular cotton thread? I use cotton thread from Walmart. Doesn't burn but gets normal gunk after a while. When all dark, I take it out of the coil and wash it just to see if anything is burned. Most of the time...
