Thanks. I can learn from anybody. Left to my own thoughts and devices, strands me in a friggen desert hampered by my own limitations.
Not a good place to dwell for too long
Thank you once again.
Amen, brother. I would hope that this is what this whole thread is about. If I did or do or even thought about something regarding playing a musical instrument, this should be the place to post it...ECF-wise.
I've posted this here before.... but it's actually from 2006!
Pat O'Brien is a quadruple threat - guitar, harp, vocals and song writing.
I had just started with them when we made this video. Time flies....
Thanks for that tip, Pipe.
Yeah, pull out those harps and start practicing.
This is Pat playing with Scott Henderson quite a while back. Scott took Pat on tour with him to Europe and featured him on guitar as well.
Pat is one of finest harp players around. Check out Pat's harp solo on Milkbone.
Trying to remember how to use DropBox...
We are Pat O'Brien and the Priests of Love
If this works... this is one of the strangest recording performances I've ever done. I'm playing upright bass here. The other two instruments are drums and chromatic harmonica. I never saw a chart. No chord...
This has happened to me more than a few times...
I'm playing my bass part same as usual (extended jam situation) at my gig, feeling comfortable and confident but once in awhile I get a little distracted by a thought and all of a sudden I'm digging how the guitar player and drummer have found...
Groovy. I see an upright bass in the corner. I've got one too.
No electric basses? Lot a guitars... oh, there's one, third from the left. The Ibanez.
(I'm just goofin' on ya)
BTW. I use Bag End cabs too.
I see the misunderstanding here due to the brevity of my comment concerning LisaLisa but I'd like you to be honest and notice how easy one's reaction and thought processes may become corrupt in the absence of challenge. I think this thread has become the breath of fresh air that this particular...
I sent the link to George and he noticed the obituary dates connected with the video that I had missed... more precisely, refused to translate properly. I took it to mean her life thus far:
Recordando a Rita (1954 - 2012) - Remembering Rita (1954 - 2012)
I'm getting really tired of people...
Months or a year or so back I posted something about the Celestephone that my bandmate played in the '70s.
That was George. We teamed up again in the late '90s with Among the Living...
This is exactly where a lot of my present suffering comes from - real or imagined.
I don't know which but in my condition it's real easy to give myself a pass.
Problem is half of them are dead. No doubt there's specific advice for that.
I'm putting a lot of that stuff on hold until I get sober...
So there's no mistake, I do hear you.
I sympathize but I still feel this is the wrong place and I'm only barely wondering why ECF can't help.
If the Outside is the best that ECF can offer then I say "welcome" and I suppose by now you appreciate the climate here.
It is what it is but maybe it...
As long as you're OK with the course of things so far....that's probably the way it's going to be for as long as it lasts.
Still, breaking the status quo at Friends of Bill makes a whole lot more sense than it does trying it here. I'm suspicious about why that route wasn't taken. Somebody either...
I almost answered something similar. He was talking about "withdrawal" being difficult, not difficulty quitting. I've heard that nicotine is one of the hardest to "quit".

The other:
There were times in the past that I regret when amped up on too much coffee and consequently adrenaline, becoming inappropriately angry and confrontational.
You didn't get my meaning.
You apparently haven't had that particular experience.
Please review and read carefully.
ETA
That's another problem with this thread.
Substances can't be talked about openly here because of ECF rules.
They are good rules because of the purpose of ECF but are...
