    This may sound weird. I actually have no firm belief that can actually play music until shortly before a song starts. I have some notion of "jobness" and responsibility and even confidence, otherwise I wouldn't show up to the gig. I only carry a vague notion... it's in my DNA but not my everyday...

    Uh-oh. Here's another. I think Buddy's got this one. Notice SDJ in the background at the end pulling his shoes off and "awarding' both guys with one. I don't know the historical significance to to this act but...maybe Sammy gave away a lot of shoes.

    I keep checking in and waiting for the time when Pipeous and his band get an actual gig. It's like trying to follow a daytime soap opera. I've got a bottle of pretty good champagne in the fridge just waiting to be uncorked on the occasion.

    I appreciate that Dave but I've seen cats who ooze with talent but crash and burn early or entirely miss the point relying on gimmicks and gear while tortoises like me (us) still keep chuggin' along gaining experience. There is no substitute for perseverance.

So the gig is, should we survive the competition, 3 different competitions spread a week apart, 30 minute sets for which you get paid nothing unless your the winner and collect $2500 in "prize money" at the end of the 3rd week. Then apparently you're entitled to maybe a 15 minute long...

    In classic rock the original artists almost never performed their material just like their recordings which sometimes ...... off their audiences in the early days. Zeppelin and Hendrix are a prime examples. People just got used to it after awhile.
