I'm sorry Whit77 but I gotta totally disagree with you on this on. The #20 MAY be fine for now.....But there are LOTS of folks reporting issues and some are right out of the box with a standard ohm. I frequent several forums as I know you do as well. You must see the pattern right? I too...

I would avoid the #24 until its confirmed or not if it is in fact a #20 style switch (poor design) with the added ring thingie. However, it may be completely different but better to wait and see. Also, unless you find a kit, most all will require your own batteries / charger. Does he want a...

Do what I did. Concentrate the torch flame to right dead center of the bottom button long enough to heat it, but not near hot enough to melt the derlin. That loosed up the adhesive enough to get the button off (worked fast) and there were no adverse affects from the heat.

Not stuck. The EH Pro (EA Clone) is absolutely the best mechanical I've ever had. Lots of folks say its better than the actual EA. Its a pinky button but it is feather light. Has pretty much zero voltage drop and its cheap.

I think the 24 is a 20 with that ring thing attached. What it looks like anyway.

I removed mine by holding the brass with pliers, and placing the magnet end directly in front of the torch flame. After about 8 seconds it fell right out. It will loose all magnetic properties from the heat so dont have other plans for it. Sent from my MILESTONE3 using Tapatalk 2

I removed the magnet on my first 19, and polished the magnet on this second 19. I honestly cant tell a difference but they both work like a champ.

Agreed 100%! These devices are really safe if used the proper way, and REALLY dangerous if not! I used a "shortstop" for a while just to be extra cautious but I swear it causes voltage drop. Maybe just in my head as I never tested it.

I am NOT arguing with you on this as I don't recommend it either. However, simply reversing the battery polarity in a mechanical mod has no affect on its operation or likelihood of a battery venting. The mod tube would then be positive rather than ground. (Orion mods) Again, I am not...

I removed the top spring on my 19's as well since I dont use them in 18350 mode. Glad you were able to prevent anything major namvet. I modded my #20 (again...lol) tonight and it dont rely on a spring anymore for contact anymore. Works great as a 18350 dripper/beater mod. Sent from my...

I tried a 3A momentary in one, it was to big to fit. Still waiting on someone here to have a breakthrough design for it. Until then my #19's get evening duty. Here's the one that arrived today....19B-N-P:D Sent from my MILESTONE3 using Tapatalk 2

The magnet was the first thing to go on my current #19:D I have a brass screw on the button and brass up top. Hits like a champ every time. Between the 2 #19's and my EH Pro (EA Clone), I think I can stop buying for a while..........Yeah Right!

Just a thought here for folks that are having issues taking the switch ...'y apart. You could drill a small (smaller than you would need to tap threads) and gently drive a small nail (finishing nail maybe) into the hole. Then you would at least have something more to hang onto with pliers when...

You could take it apart and check those two chokes. Mine look like a 5 o'clock on Friday job.... Its surface mount stuff so I wouldn't have been able to do anything other than that But it's worth a look. However I'm not sure I would trust that bay from this point forward Sent from my...

I re-soldered the choke that had plum fell off the board on mine. Touched up many crapy solder joints and its working now. I have a replacement on the way from the ebay seller so if this one keeps working I'll have two. Will be keeping a close eye on the battery voltages when they come off...

    nitecore i4 problem/question

I got one today (v2). Something was rattling around inside it so I opened it up and there was 1 choke laying loose and 1 hanging on by 1 of the 2 wires. The worst soldering I have seen in years. I bought it on the recommendations of others but I am really regretting buying this. Sent from my...
