The V2 mouth piece is longer than the V1. This works out really well! Try just the window and bottom tube of your expansion set with the stock mouth piece. This is pretty much the exact length of the KF window. If you like that you're sure to like the 27mm KF windows. :toast:

I explored the o-ring compression (lack of it) as a cause, but it proved not to be the issue. Using the Ody in full expansion mode always made the flooding worse. When I broke it down to a smaller tank it would flood less. My guess is the pressure from the extra fluid x thinner wick caused the...

Here it is with the 27mm KF window. Just a stock V2 with the clear tank body installed. Please excuse the picture quality. I'm in a hotel room using my phone. IMO the 23mm window is a waste of time. The V2 mouth piece is long enough to handle the 27mm tank and still have room for your mouth/lips.

This is Ody V2 with 2/3 of the expansion on it. Just the bottom and the window. Mouth piece is the standard V2 it comes with. It's the same length with the KF 27mm window alone. Cheap way to get a little more capacity and see the liquid control in action.

I was getting this issue, and more. I tried every trick on ECF to solve it. Some helped, but nothing really handled it. Then I figured out the wick I was using was 2mm and not 3mm. Once I got the propper wick in place ALL of my many flooding problems vanished. GONE! It's been two days now and...

Penelope Wick and NR wire... :( :(

IMO the 34g IS the wire of choice for getting around 3ohm coils on an Ody/Penelope. The 32g wire rquires way too much length to obtain 3ohms. You end up with 6+ wick wraps or too much res wire in the side channels. The basic rule I've found is if you're looking for under 2.4ohms, go 32g, higher...

Trying to decide which ProVari instead of Lavatube

The trick with the 32g wire is to make the connection ends a little longer (They count towards the overall ohms) and let the positive (Ceramic side) R+NR connection come down the side a little more. This way you don't have 6+ wraps around the wick which could cause problems with dryness. Letting...

Trying to decide which ProVari instead of Lavatube

I find the 34g NiCh wire is better for making 3ohm coils than the 32g. Res wire is exactly 1.5 inches between connections with 1/8 inch or less connection points. This almost always comes out to be 2.9-3.1ohms. You get 4-5 wraps on a triple wick with this setup, so I'd imagine 5-6 on a double. I...

    Provari Mini

Go for a 3.0ohm single coil @ 4.8 volts and you should get much better battery run times. Low res coils on a ProVari = fail. One should only be using AW IMR High Drain batteries in a ProVari as well. Failure to do so results in pointless frustration.

Trying to decide which ProVari instead of Lavatube

You're kind of missing the benifit of the ProVari by running it with such a low ohm coil. The sweet spot is between 7-8 watts. That roughly breaks down to 4.7-4.9 volts on a 2.8 - 3.2ohm coil. LR stuff is really made for fixed voltage output devices/unregulated mods, eGo batteries, GGTS(without...

I just made coils for my Ody, and a Penelope with my one bag of 3mm wick, and the neg wire isn't an issue anymore. Also gone is my flooding problem on the Ody when in full mode. To be clear, I measured these wicks with a digital micrometer. The 2mm stuff falls through the jaws on the...

Interesting! Thanks for the info. I was having issues with flooding on the Ody with thinner liquids. Both the Ody V2 and Penelope give me trouble with the neg wire as it almost always wiggles it's way out from around these thinner wicks. The wicks that came with my Ody V2, and my 3x...

Quick question. I'm finding mixed answers on this. What is the width of the silica wick that comes with the Ody V2, and Penelope? 3mm? 2mm? I can't find a straight answer. The 2mm wick is picky on the Ody. If it's not sitting perfectly in the channels it will flood. The Penelope is less...
