    Adjustable voltage box mod

MisterD, WillyB is correct. I learned a LOT from him. You use the FistPack when you only are going to use 1 (3.7 volt) battery and you want more then the 3.7 volts that one battery puts out. You use mine when you want to use (2) batteries and you want to adjust the voltage DOWN from the 7.4...

    Wire Gauge for Mods

Nietzsc, Most of it is 24 AWG STR.....I say most BUT not all. Are there any markings on the wire itself? It might have writing on it like this: "24 AWG STR". This would mean it is 24 gauge(AWG) stranded(STR) cable.

How to make a 5V mod with a TI regulator.

I will use the one you have. I hope it is easier to understand: Yes the LED goes from your pin 3 (vout) to ground (-battery). AND the capacitor can not be wired like you have it (+ side has to go to +). The capacitor goes from pin 1 (vin) to Ground (-battery) Also when you draw a battery the...

How to make a 5V mod with a TI regulator.

Shai, Take a look at my schmatic in the first post. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/battery-mods/102419-adjustable-voltage-box-mod.html Your chip only has 3 pins so you do not have pin 2 or pin 4 like on mine, but you should connect your LED like mine. The one on the left is the...

    Adjustable voltage box mod

WB, I know that sometimes my explanations are difficult to understand, but please look at again at what I posted and let me know what's not correct. You said “I don't know if that's entirely accurate. When using a switch to enable power from the battery to the reg a normally open switch is...

    Adjustable voltage box mod

RR, I have had a lot of questions about my switch setup, most from e-mail. I will try to explain it here. If it is not clear please let me know. If you look at the TI UCC383 or 283 or even the MV NCP5666. You will see that the control pin is used to turn the chip off by sending it to...

This the second one. It it amazing how much you learn by building the first one. I wanted to see how small I could get it. Built in heat sink. New button that replaces the N/O (arm switch) and the N/C (Fire switch). It is both in one. No need for the built-in case switch. The...

How many time do you push your button.

RR, Thanks. If I was off analogs 100% I might have a clue about the number. It just blew me away thinking how many times we hit the button a day. No mater what the number is, it has to be better for us then hitting an analog that many time a day.
