CES, The wall charges have a green light that turns to red when chargging....then back to green when done. The USB's do have the blue light. -

Be careful not to "over-engineer" it too much. The cap on pin "2" is tied across the battery. Too big of a cap will look like a "dead" short until it charges to battery voltage, this could cause the battery protection to trip. For this cap I would stay at 100uf, but you could safely increase...- bigblue30

$5.50 voltmeter with load checker.
This is the schematic for the first one I built. I do not use the switch anymore. I just removed the switch and connect one wire from pin 2 to both carto's plus side. It is easy to just unscrew/screw the carto to check loaded and un-loaded voltage- bigblue30

LK, right on. This comes from a source higher than me. Blowing into the "light end" can result in two things. First, when you blow into the battery from the "light end", moisture from your mouth can migrate into the automatic switch, resulting in a failure of that switch. In testing...
