    Beginners Supplies

Don't use the radioshack 7805 voltage regulator. It has a high stepdown (it means that it will work just when you give it more than 7.3-4 volts). The 3.7 v batteries are 4.2v when fully charged and the cut off is at 2.5v. So, with the radioshack voltage regulator you will be able to vape only...

    "Alternative" battery

Nice idea! In that case how many mah will you loose to get to 5v? Anyways, I bought everything. I was wrong with my calculations, the batteries I choose are a bit bigger than the 4 AA box, so I'm also looking for a nice plastic (or even metallic) box that will fit: two batteries, the PCB, the...

3.7ml dripper bottles on the cheap!

I posted it like 4 months ago... Oh my god, how much time I "invested" (aka: wasted) in finding mods everywhere, even at Duane Reade :-) At the end I made an order at the plastic factory (USPlastic if i recall the name correctly) and I spent less than 20$ for like 50 different bottles :-)

    "Alternative" battery

Great! I'm not alone! Is this one a good candidate for the PCB and load balancer? PCB for 7.4V Li-Ion Battery Pack (8A +/-1A Limit) What do you think? My idea was to put the two batteries one on top of the other and inside a 4 AA box (taking away everything from inside). One "column" would fit...

    "Alternative" battery

Hello, I'm in a quest to find a nice battery for a regulated 5v box. Right now I'm using two 14500 900mah and they last a day. The only problem I see with those batteries is that since they are round, there is a "lot" of wasted space that could be used for more mah :-) Also, those batteries...

    7.2v = 6v ??

3.7 * 2 = 7.4 ;-) Anyways, no, that's too much voltage. You'll need to use a voltage regulator to step it down to 5 (or to 6 using resistors)

    Open Source liquid

ERefill, io sono italiano ma vivo in USA da poco meno di due anni (a NY per la precisione). Se vuoi posso tradurre tutto quello che ti serve o che non riesci a esprimere "perfettamente". Fammi sapere se serve un aiuto :-) (I just said to ERefill that I'm italian and I moved to NY a little...

MYTHS and FACTS about Batteries + mods

I think it's picasa that cuts off the "lurking" of the image from a different site than Picasa itself. No problem, anyways :-)

    Nico-Stick Atomizer problem

Check if your positive connection inside the connector doesn't touch the external casing. Also, check that your button doesn't fire off for mistake and stays on

MYTHS and FACTS about Batteries + mods (TAKE 2)

For sure they are not putting a 20C RATED battery inside, but the question now is (only for my better understanding): any battery can output any amount of Amps? I mean, if lets say we have a battery 2000Ah, 1C of discharge rate, and we plug a device that requires 100 A. What happens? the...

MYTHS and FACTS about Batteries + mods (TAKE 2)

mnealtx, so how do you determine a "maximum" output in amps for a battery? I mean, I really doubt you can ask 100amps at 3.7volts (even for a second) to a portable battery.

MYTHS and FACTS about Batteries + mods

To make it easier, a metaphor is probably better. Imagine the mAh of your battery as the fuel tank of your car. Different batteries have different sizes and it will only affect how many miles you will be able to drive. Now, for who didn't understand the fact that a power source doesn't "push"...
