Agreed. That's what has made Matt's operation stand out for so long. He's a true artist, and people who appreciate that will gravitate in his direction.
There's only so many ways to skin a cat (or design an e-pipe), Sim. Looks like the cap will screw on to the top (similar to the Kir Fanis pipe), and you'll have to depress the 'power' button in the middle of the cap to fire. So if you're referring to the EPM switch design, I gotta disagree. If...
That US Bawx is hawt!
Dirq, by the way, I just noticed what looks like the Sonics logo upsidedown on the 'Hawks logo? Never noticed that before. Backhanded slap for leaving town?
Matt, V3 pipes with user-replaceable vapesafes? B-A-N-A-N-A-S!
Right. Though that stem looks the same, the tenon is different from the original stem that fits right on the end of the pipe. Those stems (on the Jazz cartotank) were designed for use with tanks and any other device that accepts a 510 drip tip. There is no tank, as far as I know, that will...
Agreed, Curt. They do look rather similar. Harkening back to my first month of vaping, I seem to remember them being ever-so-slightly wider than a carto. But it's definitely gonna be close, with both length and diameter.
RE: my response in the other thread-- did your Jazz come with the 510 tank...
hmmmm. I don't know about that, Curt. I would be surprised if you were able to squeeze a clearo down the Jazz' shank and fit the stem over it.... is that your plan?
Curt, I saw your post over in the epipemods thread first, and responded over there. I'm not really a carto tank fan. And by the way, don't expect better flavor from a carto tank. It's really just a convenience thing, so you don't have to continually refill the carto. You may want to try one of...
Curt, did your Jazz come with a 510 extension (male threads on one end, female on the other, same length as a carto)? Without that, the only thing you can use on that pipe is cartomizers. The 510 extension will bring your threads up, flush with the end of the shank, at which point you can use...
Burnie, given that the tank holds 2.5ml, I'm gonna guess that these are XL size cartomizers. Almost all vape shops/websites carry these. Others may be able to chime in with more certainty though. I haven't used cartos since my first month of vaping.
By the way folks, I just realized, Thursday...
Nice work on that Seita, hirize.:toast: Classy! Quick thought-- I've seen a lot of chubby billiards in recent years from pipemakers. They would make great conversion candidates because of the thicker shanks... Find one with a 20-22mm diameter shank, and you'll get some nice seamless lines...
Finished up a new pair this week while on staycation ;)
#03 - Briar Calabash with golden Amboyna Burl top cap and atty cover. I had a blast crafting this one, definitely gonna be making more. This baby is on its way to Bigfoot... sad to see it go.

#04 - Maple Burl Brandyglass...
Oooh oooh!! Please tell me you're making a pumpkin cavendish for the Fall!!
Kidding. :D Can't wait to see what it is. Good news on the permanence of Mango Vanilla.
Good to see ya too, Gen. I've tried Balkan, it's definitely a winner. It just doesn't stand out as unique, the way some others did to me. I didn't give it a lot of time though, so we'll see where it lands when the bottle nears empty.
This Holger Danske Mango Vanilla was a genius suggestion by...
I just received my samples a few days ago. This is a really solid line of extracted pipe tobaccos, Clay. I've tried Balkan, Black Cav, Bombay, Coventry, Dover Court and Mango Vanilla. Have yet to try Chris' Blend and The Boss. So far, they're all very promising and enjoyable. All the different...
