    FDA Takes On Mayonnaise

Ok, Ok, I gotcha buddy. I have a much longer discussion on the finer points of the "global economy" brewing in me, but that's for another day on another forum. What I am trying to illustrate here is that at some point cigarettes stopped being cigarettes (maybe after the thousandth chemical...

    about momentary push buttons~

I have to agree with others here. Don't order or assemble anything until you have a better understanding of electricity. I myself, am not an expert but from what i understand, most people who build "Mech Boxes" (more commonly called Unregulated Box Mods) will use a MOSFET so that the current...

    FDA Takes On Mayonnaise

Ok, well, when they start adding arsenic and acetone to cereal, you just let me know. But seriously, the point is that the FDA cares not about our health. It is an agency and as an agency it strives mainly to keep itself alive and funded. (meant as a reply to stevegmu)

    FDA Takes On Mayonnaise

While we are sort of on the subject of misrepresentation, has anyone here thought about the blatant lie that is cigarettes? A cigarette by definition is "A thin cylinder of finely cut tobacco rolled in paper for smoking." (emphasis my own) So why are they even allowed to call analogs cigarettes...

    Atlantis v2 coils

Oh yeah, and you should theoretically be able to make a nickel coil in one of these but the temp control devices seem to prefer a looong spaced out coil, so building inside such a small housing will present some problems.

    Atlantis v2 coils

Sure, I rebuilt a few (always horizontally) until i got one going real good. After the last one i made worked out I've just been rewicking it when i need to. The problem you are going to encounter is the ring of cotton which blocks the juice ports. If you fully disassemble the coil and remove...

Help! Resistance jumping on nickel coils!

First, make sure you are in temp control mode. Second, you are going to have to remove your atty and let it cool down off the mod for a bit before reattaching. Last, Smok has been having some problems with their mods for a while now so go to a shop or a friend where you can play the old game...

    ***URGENT PLEASE HELP***

Tighten your post screws. The initial heating and cooling of the kanthal will cause expansion and contraction of the wire, so expect to have to make adjustments with your post screws when you first fire up a build.

    ugh i just want flavor!

If you are using the same juice week after week, it doesn't really matter what your vaping it out of, you just won't be able to taste it after a while. Depending on the juice line and flavor you might be able to vape the same flavor for 6 months without loosing flavor, also if you chain vape...

Does everyone really have an allergy to PG?

I would have to argue that a "gourmet" juice is not necessarily a "good" juice. I'll be so bold as to submit that the only "good" juice is a clean juice. Letting the status quo in the gourmet juice market govern your perception of what makes a juice "good" is unwise. I might also posit that...

    subtank mini nicotine question

Why? Not trying to push anyone's buttons here, but I don't follow the logic. If you're referring to a specific tank and coil please specify.

Anybody else have something like this happen?

I think I may have posted this five times today, but if you buy cheap juice, expect that there were corners cut somewhere. It may have been less money spent on a competent staff or it may have been cheaping out on ingredients but quality costs a little more than 8 bucks for 30ml of juice in my...

    subtank mini nicotine question

Why do you feel that you need a .5 ohm coil for lung hitting? Maybe if you never change your settings or you are using a mech mod? While it is true they utilize different gauge wire, the difference between will be in ramp up time and maximum temperature, though the max temp ceiling never truly...

    subtank mini nicotine question

If you are using a mech mod, use the 1.2ohm coils. If you are using a regulated mod then it really, truly, seriously, honestly and sincerely, does not matter. Set it low (10-15watts) to start and turn it up in 2-5 watt increments until you are happy. Same with airflow, start with less airflow...

Looking for the hardest hitting mech mod...

I mean, the guy didn't explicitly say he wanted to trade his arm and leg for one, but i guess he could do that..

Does everyone really have an allergy to PG?

I think that too many people assume that because this youtube vaper or that guy down at the vapor shop vape a certain brand, said brand has been vetted and tested properly. Think critically here for a moment. The max vg sub ohm crowd has been pushing the limits of vaping since the start. They...

    Makes my chest bad!

I'm seriously surprised that no one has brought up juice quality here. You absolutely should try and switch juice brands to something tested and proven to be clean before assumptions are made about vg/pg content. Heavy lung is a real thing but that typically takes aloooooot of vaping.

Looking for the hardest hitting mech mod...

Most definately true. When you eliminate the fire pin you eliminate voltage drop through the pin. For my money I keep it SMPL. You could upgrade the button but don't bother, as others have said, it's about the build. Oh, and for the love of god, don't put a tank on a hybrid mod if it has a...

    Aspire Triton Tank Issues

I guess its possible that quality control has gone downhill for aspire but I really haven't seen any issues with the Triton, the new triton coils or the (original) Atlantis tanks. (we all probably know that atlantis 2 was sort of lame for the weird drip tip size with its weak o-ring) However, I...

Is it time to replace tank?

Three things: One - Fill up your tank. Silica wick eventually breaks down and does not wick juice as efficiently. This will generally start to happen after two weeks of regular use, so it should help to have more liquid in the tank. Two - I have serviced many many "stick" style batteries and...
