    Mech Shorting Issues

Totally agreed. Built in safety features in regulated devices of ANY type are just a feature and as such, can fail. Safety needs to be practiced on each and every device.

    Mech Shorting Issues

There are many such video's on YT showing what may happen in case of a mech mod short but with safer chemistry battery's (IMR) Heat is the main reaction and an actual explosion less likely than year's ago. https://youtu.be/ZTzEHsJVZhA https://youtu.be/5pmKjA9IiHc

    RDA Magma Clone Help

Is the inside of the top cap domed like the original? That was one of the 1st questions about this clone regarding it's performance. 3mm ID (inside diameter) is kinda large. You might try a 2 - 2.5 mm with more or the same wraps and different gauge wire to get the same resulting ohms. Also, mess...

Mod to go with an Aspire Atlantis

Was hoping Vatic would post a bit more detail on the coil rebuild for the same reason. With 0.61 ohms is he using kanthal or some Royal wire/Nichrome? I wondered about the legs/grommet situation also. 2nd image is most likely nickel on the rdna vaporshark which eliminates the 'hot legs' concern...

    RDA Magma Clone Help

The OP is looking to sample his diy for flavor and is using a istick 50. He doesn't need to build to a mechs restrictions or use a .5 ohm coil and as suggested could go with 1-2 ohms with dual or single coil. I think it is common knowledge that the magma can be built to make clouds, so don't...

    RDA Magma Clone Help

Even with an authentic magma, the emphasis would be chuckin' flavor, not clouds. There just isn't enough air flow even wide open and it's just gonna get very hot if you go too low on resistance. That clone looks awful and lacks any of the saving graces of the 'leaky' authentic. I hope that's not...

    Hybrid adapters?

I find it strange that when I ordered a hybrid adapter for my copper vanilla it turned out to not be a true hybrid and still has the usual pin arrangement. Makes you wonder what issue the original mod maker has with that, I don't want it just for the looks(although shorter is cool)but it seems...

Mod to go with an Aspire Atlantis

That's a cool rebuild you have there Vatic, with 0.6 ohm twisted horizontal coil. My rebuilds have all so far been reusing the original coil since I have no way to make nr-r-nr wire or do you just use one type of wire like kanthal? Also using iPV mini 2

Mod to go with an Aspire Atlantis

Oh great, I hope she replaced the battery and a few pointers from the shop assist. OP..if you are looking for a non-hobby type mod to power that Atlantis and just want convenience and no worry's with plenty of power, I'd recommend something like an istick 50 w or something similar. There are...

When are eliquid companies realize that dark glass bottles are a must?

Never had a broken glass bottle or leaking plastic one yet in a year of multiple international orders-maybe I was lucky lol I prefer using any glass bottles to store juice when steeping it, doesn't matter if they are clear glass because I place them inside cardboard tubes with top caps to block...

    Ohms, Volts, Wattage

Did you have a stable Ω reading before the re-wick? I would check the post screws, one may be loose. It shouldn't fluctuate at all on an rda but can on some tank systems like the kayfun 4 because of the spring and juice control. What are you using, rebuildable atomizer or tank?

What's the (continuing) attraction of mechanical mods?

The early regulated devices mimicked the form factor exactly of a mech tube mod for a reason, they became wide bodied 'box's' for another:)

Attack of the (Kayfun v4) Clones!

Only a temp. fix with floss but yeah, it works. Maybe they need to make a square O-RINGsq and that's the whole problem:laugh:

Attack of the (Kayfun v4) Clones!

I'm thinking of getting another, but will try the Infinite or the SS 316 since they come with all the spares and seem to have no leaking issues and good threading. Had to get my diagram out again to follow the post at this point lol My 1st K4 version from FT (2018000) leaks . due to #16 (it is...

Attack of the (Kayfun v4) Clones!

I just use both, wherever. whenever is appropriate pretty much as "ccwaters" said above..and I agree rayon works better in rda's and geni's.

Whats the best tasting e liquid to buy

Another variable is your 'Vaping style', Speaking for myself, I find each each juice has it's perfect way to be used and may not be as good at high wattage and low, open draw or restricted..maybe just try a wide variety to narrow it down to what you like with what you use to cook it;)

What's the (continuing) attraction of mechanical mods?

^^^^That's because on a mech those are 'real watts' as opposed to 'Chinese watts', on a regulated bling bling:D

What's the (continuing) attraction of mechanical mods?

Get yourself a 'squonker', Reo Grande or Woodvil, you won't regret it:vapor: http://www.reosmods.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&category_id=7&page=shop.browse&Itemid=3&limit=20&limitstart=100#
