I get my VV Ego PT tomorrow afternoon. Looking forward to trying my Sapphires on it at 3.7 and 4.2.
Nate, are you getting the perfumy taste on all your liquids or particular ones?
Very true of the taste change (in a good way). Many more of the nuances come thru better. If you DIY and have used a stronger mix to get the flavor you want on other cartos, you might find it overpowering at first.
I managed to get some leaking during filling. If you use the bottle fill...
No idea why it would have been sticky, unless a bit of juice leaked out.
I think the little fill nipples for bottles they provide need to be a bit longer. It's a bit too easy to "pressurize" the tank as you're filling, which can force liquid down thru the battery fitting and up into the...
Ditto to that!
I was thinking also that if the existing wick was made longer, the worn part at the coil could be trimmed and the wick pushed down quite a few times before needing to be replaced.
I read a bit of the "Orange Papers" that one of the disgruntled QSMB members posted about. Very interesting reading, and fits some of the Q folks to a tee.
I'm glad now that I was never allowed to post there; I would likely be drawn to defend e-cigs at every turn, and frankly I wouldn't want...
To be honest, I was being lazy about it. The coil wasn't gunked up very much, so I didn't take the time to dry burn it.
You point is a good one though, and it certainly works for CE2s.
I had "burned" one of my Buds using it at 4.5V. I disassembled it and the very tip of the wick was blackened. There was enough excess to trim it and push it down a bit, and it's working like new again.
These things are amazingly easy to service. :thumb:
Quick Sapphire update: I disassembled my burned one and found that the very tip looked blackened. I trimmed it, pushed it down a bit to make contact with the coil (there was excess sticking out of the top), and it's working like new again.
These things are very easy to service, far easier...
Perhaps Electricman should have disclosed that his "nicotine poisoning victim" was using high-nic liquid in conjunction with smoking... and that the "poisioning" was a self-diagnosis.

Nate, how's it going with your Sapphires?
I think I messed up one of mine. I was running it at 4.5V and I think I burned it. It'll have to be a guinea pig for tear-down and cleaning later.
I've discovered I don't like the little filler tips for bottles. It's easy to force too much liquid...
I experienced the perfumy taste at first, but it subsided. It takes some getting used to, because my liquids taste stronger. One is a DIY, and next time I mix I'll lower the flavor percentage. The other is V4L Cowboy, and it's got a much stronger tobacco taste now. I like it!
I had some...
