Is There An RTA That Doesn't Leak?

There is no vaccum leak from the drip tip.The drip tip is just part of the channel that goes down the chimney, through the center hole in the deck and out the air holes. It's completely open to the outside. It's separate from the sealed portion of the tank. Pull off the drip tip and look down...

Is There An RTA That Doesn't Leak?

The seal I speak of is the general "air-tightness" of the tank. As to the specific o-rings, there are four of them: the two on both ends of the glass, the one on the outer edge of the top cap, and the one in the middle of the top cap that fits down over the chimney when you screw the top cap on...

Is There An RTA That Doesn't Leak?

I'm not denying that wicking can help control leaking if you don't have a good seal on the tank. I'm just saying that if you fix the problem you won't have to worry about how you wick it. It's just simply better than trying to find the perfect wicking that balances between leaking and dry hits.

Is There An RTA That Doesn't Leak?

I don't know. For sure the ones with the coil at the top don't. With the Kayfun it's easy to test. Simply fill it with water and remove the deck. If you have a good seal, the water will stay in the tank. Then remove the top cap and watch it pour out. And anyone who has forgotten to close the...

Is There An RTA That Doesn't Leak?

Correct. But I can only vouch for Kayfuns and tanks based on a vacuum principle.

Is There An RTA That Doesn't Leak?

If you have juice leaking from the airflow, you have too much juice in the juice well and it's overflowing. Caused by a poor seal. The wick delivers juice from the juice well to the coil, nothing more. If you have to wick a certain way to stop leaking, you have a poor seal. Fix the seal and how...

Is There An RTA That Doesn't Leak?

Yes, but you can take your finger off the top if you use a more viscous fluid and block the bottom just the right amount so that it doesn't drip out by itself but still drips out a bit when you need it to. Of course it has to be just right each and every time and seems unnecessarily finicky...

Is There An RTA That Doesn't Leak?

Having only used Kayfuns I can tell you that wicking is NEVER the problem with leaks. It's always the o-rings, especially the one in the center of the top cap. If it has a good seal, it won't leak, even without a wick. But you have to keep it upright. If you lay it down, you lose the vacuum and...

Kayfun V.3 mini alternative (MTL only)

The one I got was 4596400.You might try replacing your o-rings in the deck if the juice control is not working. There were also some minis that didn't seat all the way because the base was a hair small and you had to squeeze the the bottom of the tank a bit to get it to fit. But I've had no...

Ok so here is my 1st kid

Actually, you don't need any pipettes at all. One of the great things about nicotine river is that they include dripper caps for the flavors. You can add by weight and simply drip your flavors right into your bottle.

    Kayfun Mini V3 juice flow

I think flow control is a bit misleading. I prefer to think of it as a juice shutoff. Trying to regulate flow is just going to lead to frustration. Turn it 2, 3, 4 turns or whatever. As long as you don't completely unscrew the base from the tank, it's good. It just has to be all the way open.

Kayfun V.3 mini alternative (MTL only)

I was exactly like you. I loved the mini v3 but thought it looked ridiculous. So I got the mini v3 plus from fasttech and problem solved. It's wider, so it looks perfect on my provari. It also holds a lot more juice. Other than that, it's identical to the mini v3. It ticks all the boxes for me...

Kayfun lite +v2 vs kayfun mini v3 in therms of airflow

I personally think the V3 mini is better in just about every way. In fact, I don't even look at any more tanks. The V3 mini checks all the boxes for me. Here's a few other advantages: 1. Juice shut off. I can close the shut off on my spare tanks, put them in my case and carry it around all day...

    Started D.I.Ying.. And love it.

You lost me on this one. I grant that for you, you might find it easier and faster to mix by volume, but how can there be less cleanup since mixing by weight has no cleanup at all?

Attack of the (Kayfun Mini V3) Clones!

I agree. Fasttech is the way to go. Unlike Amazon, they don't have a minimum amount for free shipping. You can order something for 80 cents and they'll ship it to you for free. Spare O-rings, glass, screws and all the other parts are dirt cheap, so stock up.

Attack of the (Kayfun Mini V3) Clones!

Thanks, Katdarling. I appreciate your perceptiveness. LOL. Anyhow, most of the time the guilty o-ring is the small one in the center of the top cap. It has to seal around that tube that comes up. Another one is around the outer edge of the top cap. It's not usually a problem because it gets...

    Moving to Canada? (worried)

Sure. Call them 10 times and you'll get 10 different answers. Like I said, it depends on who you get. However, I live on the border so I know what you can bring across and what you can't. Hardware is not illegal and you can bring as much as you want, within import restrictions. The juice is...

    Moving to Canada? (worried)

It's all legal in Canada except the nicotine. However, you can buy the juice here. Stupid, huh? Well, it's not actually illegal, just banned by Health Canada. But Health Canada doesn't make the laws. However, customs won't allow it to be imported. So you can bring everything you have with no...

Attack of the (Kayfun Mini V3) Clones!

This is a classic example of doing it wrong, and very common. A person gets leaks, so they use the wick to partially block the juice channels. Then they get dry hits. So they thin the juice to improve flow or they try to find the perfect way to wick it. It's a balancing act that only leads to...

Attack of the (Kayfun Mini V3) Clones!

Yeah, sometimes I get some modest seepage after re-filling too. It's extremely minor, just an annoyance. Just the nature of the beast, I guess. I'm guessing it has to develop a bit of a vacuum in the tank in order for the two opposing forces to balance out.
