    I would guess that along with the gunk that came off some of the oxidation on the wick was also removed and you have some shorts. I have set up new wicks and coils and never got a harsh hit from them. JMHO...

    My DID arrived yesterday and I just got the time to set it up. My first coil and wick worked right off the bat but they could be a bit prettierer:) The next time I'm sure will be easier as I now know it can be done and it can look nice in the process.

    Here's a rule (suggestion) that Zen made a while back that surprised me as no other supplier I know would allow it: It's Okay to talk about other devices in this thread, most of us own many types and from many manufactures.

    I think one of the catches with packages from Europe is that they don't all work on Saturdays and if a package is sent out on Friday and not scanned right away it won't show any tracking info until Monday night. The USPS "delivery confirmation" is just that and not a bonified tracking system...
