    Raptor Flip-Top VV Mod with 20A, 120W dc/dc converter...

Done. OP wiring guide updated with latest parts list. :) If you need to substitute a resistor because OOS, look for the ohm value you need with 1% tolerance, 1/4W or lower. If you need to substitute the zener diode because of OOS or you want a higher voltage value (you'll need at least...

    Raptor Flip-Top VV Mod with 20A, 120W dc/dc converter...

I'll say once again, always follow the wiring diagram in the OP, not the parts list in that post. The wiring diagram is externally linked and always kept updated. I can no longer edit the OP to change the parts list to correspond with the wiring diagram. I wish I could, but that option is not...

    Raptor Flip-Top VV Mod with 20A, 120W dc/dc converter...

No, that's not normal. Like jugga said, tolerance will come into play at what the actual cutoff will be. Also, make sure the zener is actually 5.6v, was not damaged during the build, is wired correctly with the band facing away from the on/off control pin, and has good soldered contact.

Welcome, Drew. It's a great feeling to vape on a mod you made yourself and it never gets old no matter how many mods you make.

    Arlo - dual 18650 DNA20/30 step-by-step how-to

The battery status bar is an indicator of the voltage at the DNA's input ports. The charge ports have nothing to do with what's displayed on the screen.

    Raptor Flip-Top VV Mod with 20A, 120W dc/dc converter...

LOL at trusting the China mods to not only do what they are suppose to do, but trusting it to be accurate and safe. I've also seen where these mods are already falling apart and where attys are getting broken off in the connector. People keep forgetting you get what you pay for. Do you...

    Arlo - dual 18650 DNA20/30 step-by-step how-to

The DNA's +/- charge ports to do not "pull" anything - those charge ports are simply a passive connection with onboard traces shooting across to the DNA +/- input which is then connected directly to the battery +/-. If the charging board is rated to pull 1A from the power source it will pull...

    Arlo - dual 18650 DNA20/30 step-by-step how-to

Most of the available charging boards require a 5 volt power source. Charging current will vary from board to board. Evolv's charging board charges at 500mA. The Arlo charging board charges at 1A. A 1A capacity charger will recharge the batteries faster than a 500mA charger, so it will...

    Tinkering with the OKL2-T20 20A 110W dc/dc converter...

I'm sorry, liquidfx. Been busy and spaced this thread. The trimmer you linked is not doable for the OKL2 - it needs a 1K or 1.5K trimmer as shown in the wiring guide. 93PR1KLF

    Arlo - dual 18650 DNA20/30 step-by-step how-to

If you're using fuses that I or bapgood have not tested, you'll need to test the fuses yourself to see if they do provide reverse polarity. Breadboard the works using those fuses, then put the batts in backwards. Be prepared to immediately yank the batts if they or the DNA get hot. The way I...

External fuse for both overcurrent and reverse polarity protection with the DNA...

Did you get around to testing this? The fuses I used with the DNA 30 are listed in the Arlo tutorial. Also, the Littelfuse 7A smd fuses will work for both overcurrent and reverse polarity if using 1x on each batt for dual parallel batts (I believe bapgood tested this), but do not if using 2x...

Thanks BillsBerry! No - takes about 5 hours to print the case plus lid, then the case and lid need after printing finishing work. I'm not up to doing that to sell to others.

    Raptor Flip-Top VV Mod with 20A, 120W dc/dc converter...

I used 20awg for input and output with my first few builds. These mods were for me and I don't vape anywhere near 20A mostly around 5A lol. I currently use 18awg for input and output with all my builds though as some of my mods are going to people who vape at high amps and use 24awg, sometimes...

I've heard of a few modders who are connecting the pot ground to either pin 3 or pin 10 ground pins instead of the -Trim pin 9. Was curious about this, as well as why 3 ground pins, so emailed the GE rep. This is the email... Hi Cynthia I received your Inquiry: Comments: I'm working with...

External fuse for both overcurrent and reverse polarity protection with the DNA...

Yes, those fuses are aok - use 2x in parallel for the DNA30. As for if they also provide reverse polarity protection, I don't know as I haven't tested those.

With the 1550P I stack everything, including the p-fet and fuses on the Raptor. With the 1590G I adhere the voltmeter to the top of the batt holder then put the fuses and the p-fet under the voltmeter and the Raptor on the side. I also snip a bit off each end of the fuses with both builds...
