Been away for a while--WHAT'S THE BEST NEW KIT OUT THERE???

Ahh...O.k. If it's a single coil carto, I understand completely. I'm just puzzled when every time I say that dual coils aren't very good under 4 volts, people say they like them on their 3.4V egos. Then, they turn around and hate on the Lavatube because it will cut your voltage to 3.7 with...

Been away for a while--WHAT'S THE BEST NEW KIT OUT THERE???

Haha... Cross posted. They're both 2.5amps. Yes, the Provari has a higher amp limit. So, instead of getting 9 watts with 1.5ohms at 3amps on a Provari, you need to get your 9 watts with 3ohms at 5.2 volts and 1.7 amps on the Vtube. The only real difference is that dual coils don't work any...

Been away for a while--WHAT'S THE BEST NEW KIT OUT THERE???

Would someone please explain to me how a DC carto is supposed to be so good on a twist with a 2.5amp battery limit, yet that same DC carto is no good for a Lavatube with a 2.5amp limit? Certainly no one means to suggest that you try to run your twist beyond the amperage limit of the battery.

Been away for a while--WHAT'S THE BEST NEW KIT OUT THERE???

Variable voltage lets you use 1 resistance and adjust the voltage to suit your taste. Like a cooler vape, turn it down. Want something warmer, turn it up. You don't have to use low resistance or high resistance or anything but 3ohm cartos to vape from 5 to 12 watts. This is the Vtube. You...

Been away for a while--WHAT'S THE BEST NEW KIT OUT THERE???

avoid the eGo-T and the eGo-C. If fixed voltage is good enough for you and you just don't want a pain in the .... that's going to leak, get the e-Power or KGo that Flyer recommended. Their both tried and true 3.7V batteries and you can use something on the end besides the junky tank systems...

    Proper ohms and battery life

Also, if yo're using an eGo type sealed battery, the mfg. estimates the lifespan at 4-6 months. If you rotate two of them, I'd expect twice the time. Batteries are rated for lifespan by number of charge/discharge cycles. It usually varies between 300 and 500 cycles for a normal lithium-ion...

    Proper ohms and battery life

The effect on battery life that a particular resistance will have depends on the capacity (in mah) of the battery and the battery's c-rating. You can destroy a small battery using a carto with too low of a resistance. For any given voltage, a lower resistance strains the battery more than a...

new to vaping and looking for a QUALITY unit . apollo, modern vapor...

If you start another thread and ask for it, someone will respond. I just saw it yesterday, but I can't remember what it was. Or, you can check the Smokeless Image forum in the vedors section. I would imagine it's posted there. EDIT: Sorry, that 25% off sale ended Friday midnight. There are...

    Second Try at E-cigs

I would second the suggestion of a kGo if you can see you way to something larger than a cigarette. They're about the size of a Sharpie marker pen or petite cigar. The 1100mah battery will last you all day, so you don't need a charging case. A kGo and a couple boxes of cartomizers is the...

Not sure I'm assembling things right - please help so I can start vaping.

You need to make sure the cartomizers are properly filled. That's #1 important. Once you install the battery, set the voltage to about 3.5V. Just as a starting point. Screw the cartomizer (atomized cartridge) into the head. Push the button and vape. Increase the voltage, step by step, until...

    Apollo VTube and a TY

It's solid stainless, not plated. The chrome, OTOH, is copper with a chrome plating. We got to the bottom of all that during the pre-order phase, before the release of the stainless Vtube.

Need help selecting a good setup

O.k. First off, you're limited to what you can do with the small batteries. Low resistance is pretty much out of the question. The X2 battery can handle lower resistance. LR may or may not make the juice taste better. Mostly it makes the vapor warmer and produces more vapor. But too warm...

getting back into vaping... choosing new equipment.

I second the Lavatube/Vtube idea, especially since you can get the standard model for $50, chrome for $60 or a stainless one for $73 shipped with the Vtube30 code. They all come with a one year warranty and 30 day trial. Put a 1600-2000mah battery in it and you won't need a passthrough to vape...

    Apollo VTube and a TY

No, I'm not a tobacco juice person. I wouldn't mind checking out something like Boba's or Gorilla juice though, since I hear so much about them. ......Deleted due to brain fart.... And definitely try the Vivi Novas. I'm a tightwad and I just got 4 of them. They have to be pretty good for me...

Can't find VV passthrough with LCD Indicator

I fear you're hunting a unicorn. The eGo VV, IMO, is junk. It doesn't hold voltage well and is really not variable at all. It's a "selectable voltage" PV. You can choose from a small number of voltages and it doesn't even provide, under load, what you select. It's just not the nature of a...

    New member, New Vaper

The best juice is rarely found in the same place as the best hardware. For cartomizers, the 1.7ohm Smoketech Ressurectors and the 2ohm Boges are the best on a kGo, IMO. The kGo can be bought from a lot of good, reliable vendors. The prices are all pretty close, but I'm sure there are some...

    Second Try at E-cigs

20mg might have been too much, but it's more likely that you went through the same thing we all did before you learned to regulate the amount of nicotine you get by pacing yourself. I would highly suggest you skip the auto battery requirement. Everyone want those, but only people who do...

    Lava Tube

Yep. The versions that let you check the resistance don't let you lock the voltage or check the voltage under load. I'm a little more .... about batteries and spend more time closer to a charger, so I swap at 3.7-3.9V with no load. The auto cutoff is supposed to happen at 3.3V though, so...

    I don't get it

The main argument isn't just cost. If you're comparing apples to apples, you have to figure the cost of 2 Twists to 1 LT. In that respect, they're nearly the same, except that a LT battery has at least 2 or 3 times the capacity of a Twist battery. As for regulation, there is some voltage...

    Apollo VTube and a TY

Did Apollo even ever have the mini in stainless? I don't think I ever saw one. You don't have to dump your DCTs. Just replace the carto with a single coil. A 3ohm will work fine. Better yet, get a Vivi Nova tank. Replacement heads don't cost any more than a punched carto and last a lot...
