No joy in Mudville tonight....but I can't stop entering, the contest are fun and informative. I get to find out what other vapers are using and how, along with some just fun themes.
They work extremely well with a simple Ni200 build also. Currently vaping some Lemon Meringue Pie in one as I type. It's a warmer vape without having to turn the temperature setting over 400 F.
I've always tried to equate to what I used to spend smoking....$30 was about 3 days worth. If the iStick40 that's currently in the hands of USPS lasts 3 months it's much more than worth it.
Not an Entry (because I won one from Heaven Gifts already..)
Joyetech eVic-VT VW Full Kit - 5000mAh (No Wall Adapter)
The eVic-VT has been a great mod for me, in VW and VT modes, Ni or Ti heads all work well, and the eVic is a snap to use, easy adjustments. It's become an everyday carry...
1: It has over charge protection, but likely not as extensive as an external charger would have. I prefer to use a high quality external charger for removable batteries.
2: Your setup sounds safe enough, and a regulated mod will shutdown if you try to use too many amperes or there is a short...
It sounds as if you may have some titanium oxide on your wire, it's something to avoid, and definitely not something to inhale.

Your ranges are accurate but it's not really sub-ohmming. The Ni and Ti wire is used because it's variable resistance. As the wire heats up it increases it's resistance, so when you actually take a tootle puff the resistance had gone up and no longer sub-ohm.
How variable resistance will...
Dang, I'm glad I got the STM version with ...
1. no holes
2. One moderate sized hole
3. Two moderate sized holes (same size as the single hole)
4. The full slit
It hits well with whatever airflow I'm in the mood for, from no hole to full slit, and easy adjustment.
Your juice may be part of the problem with the design of the mega. I use 50% or less VG and the stock coils seem to wick fine for me. Started with 50/50 mix because I didn't know which I would like, soooo a bit of each seemed like the way to go.
I have a STM, not sure the vintage or revision but I can adjust the airflow band so no openings are visible. The draw is comparable to a CE-4 that is gunked up and drawing hard.
I was not impressed with it using kanthral compared to my highly modified Orchids for flavor or vapor. Then I won a...
Not an entry...but if the market continues as it has, my pick may be off by 1,000 points.
Hey POP does that qualify for a bobby prize?? j/k ...:lol:
