I thing that starting out at 18mg nic is good and if that does not work then go up from there. I was a pack a day smoker and i quit on 18mg but every one is different. But i still think that it is easy-er to go up in nic then it is to go down.
510 batterys don't last very long before they need to be charged you could get a PCC with it, But I thing your better off if you buy a Joy eGo, my 900mah batterys last more then a hole day for me and i vape on them hard.
Sounds like the atty is not making contact the battery contact,i think the battery contact in the middle of the battery is set in the battery to deep. And the LR atty middle connec might stick out a little bit more. Send them back if you can and get new ones.
I think you might have gotter some juice inside the battery and that is whats making do that. You can try seting it down with the battery connector downward maybe the juice will dran out.
I don't think the charging rate will be fast enough but i hopes it works for you. Think its a good time to find out which 510 batterys are good and starting using them.
I Got one eGo mega atty cylinder type B don't like is as much as the 510 attys, the mega attys do hold more juice but i have to suck harder on it to get a drag. For the money i would go for the joye eGo 510 you can get a mega atty later on.
