    The coil was 5/64" I.D., so a tad under 2mm. I'd estimate the cotton was at least 2.5mm diameter after rolling, twisting and smoothing. It didn't go in easily. I trimmed the tails to barely touch the juice deck, soaked them, pasted them into place and installed the chimney.

    I replaced my stock post screws with socket head (allen) set screws, which are flush with the post tops when tightened. Gives a couple mms more clearance for the top cap.
