I usually heat up the wire before I wrap, it helps a little. Also if you can lock one leg down put a jig through the coil and pull it real tight before locking the other leg down it keeps your wraps tight. Almost need 3 hands.
Just don't get discouraged. RTA,s can be temperamental. I had one that kept leaking for no reason and I couldn't figure it out. Ended up being elevation change commuting from 4200 feet to 200 feet.
I've had lids not on all the way. Some take about 50 pounds of force to snap them down. I've dumped a 120ml bottle all over my hand and mod from it not being popped on and the nozzle coming off.
Alot of my diy are like this. The flavor doesn't really come out until the juice warms up. Mostly Bavarian cream blends for me. Might be the alcohol burning off.
What gauges do you like. Standard or fused? How many cores do you prefer and what are the benefits. I'm trying to find a middle ground with good flavor but not a juice monster.
I would get a standard style rda like a goon or a velocity style and get your coil and wick building down. Then move back to the Zeus to further perfect and fine tune your wicking. Rta should be a last step not a first step
That's also what I do, tails just touching the bottom of the well. I've seen so many reviewers use long tails and overlap them. Must me from so many builds they have to do they just don't care to cut them.
