I remember reading where others with the 510 version had the same comment about the air holes being mostly covered by the chimney. Some said it didn't make a difference, others said it made the draw tighter like you're experiencing. What I don't know is if there is a simple remedy. Maybe...
If you were near me, I'd come help you. It isn't easy to do that's for sure. But I did it to three of my Kabuki's this weekend to change out the o-rings for the new OMG Silicone ones.
I had to use a rubber jar opener thingy. Make sure the bottom piece is securely attached and with the rubber jar thingy grasp firmly and unscrew counter clock wise a little at a time.
Just remember that a Provari will fire EXACTLY what you set it to. Lesser devices, not so much. Chances are if you were happy with the vape on your IPV at 30 watts, you can back down the watts on your Procyon and get a similar experience, but save battery usage.

Even in a purpose designed battery case, they sit side-by-side, but I've used them since I started vaping with regulated mods. I thought the way I was keeping the batteries in the Vape case was just a bit better. They're wrapped and don't touch each other side by side. I'm still curious why...
