I am not sure about capacities, but I am aware the right main stem bronchus is more straight than the left. I'd assume it would take in more vapor/smoke/irritants. it would be interesting to see a volume difference. You could probably see this in interstitial lung diseases or lung cancers...
I really appreciate everyone's opinions. One of the things that frustrates me sometimes about the vaping community is the speed at which they write off medical complaints. I hope none are ever linked to vaping, as I would like to see a healthy alternative.
My cough has been non-productive the...
Yes sir. As of now, no one is really pointing the finger. I'm trying to exclude it for myself. I do hope it is not a direct cause because vaping appears (as of the short term) to be better for your health. My concern, either way, would not be with PG or VG, but with flavoring a and sweeteners...
I had posted previously about my shortness of breath that I believed MAY had been linked to vaping. To rehash:
26 years old (today actually, happy birthday to me).
9 pack year history, history of smoking other.... Stuff.... Heavily for 2 years. Switched to vaping December 2013. Vaped small...
Very true. And I hope they do not. I just really hate to see people in this community instantly discard symptoms as not applicable to vaping. There is a strong possibility that there will be long term effects, given that if you do anything for a long period of time on a daily basis, especially...
I believe either this is the case (which would just mean more fear mongering, which we see enough of in the vaping community) or that it is misdiagnosed as COPD, in which case we would never know.
I dont believe it has happened honestly, as research shows it would take a high concentration for...
I didnt smoke a single cigarette for over 1 year while I was vaping. Not entirely convinced this is the cause. Possibly having underlying asthma hidden by inhaling whatever substance I was inhaling at the time (cigarettes, vapor). But you are absolutely correct, it is a normal symptom of smoking...
Andria, thats what i was thinking, and i do have a cough. But its ultimately extremely dry and unproductive. Which i wouldnt really expect. Will post more when I know more. Will probably post xrays and any tests i get done.
And as a side note, I have taken 1 round of Augmentin and 2 rounds of Z-Max. First round of Z-max helped temporarily, and now the 2nd round doesnt seem to be doing much. I was really hoping it was atypical pneumonia unrelated to vaping but that doesnt seem to be the case, unless it just so...
I am also on advair and it helps a lot, and I am also having a problem with smells. If I come home while my girlfriend is cooking, I need to move either outside or to the other end of the house. I absolutely can NOT breathe with heavy smells like bacon or oils. Im hoping its sub-acute asthma...
Do appreciate all the links. I am familiar with diketones (only after developing shortness of breath about 8 months ago) and am needless to say extremely disappointed. Vaping was something I had done to get healthier and I have, whether it be vaping related or not, have not seemed to had the...
They do say that smoking tends to mask asthma to an extent. This may be your case. Many people quit analogs to find that they "suddenly" have asthma that they have had for years. Mine is slightly different. No direct wheeze. Only inability to take a full satisfying breath and often dyspnea upon...
Was using a multitude of different juices and setups. A few of my favorites were Suicide Bunny (until the diacetyl issue) and cosmic fog. I was vaping off an IPV 2.5 then an IPV 3 with Kanger Sub tanks or RDA's of various sorts. Normally building single parallel coils at about 7wrap with 22-26g...
thank you! I understand that what vendors use diacetyl has been covered. I am just specifically looking for a reported case. If you could point me in a direction, that would be appreciated. Otherwise, I shall just move on over to health and safety and ask around.
Never diagnosed with asthma. I am looking into that as a possibility. Developing asthma due to environmental factors or allergens is not entirely unheard of.
