jimho is right as usual. its hit or miss, I have breathed new life into dead attys and killed functional ones. all in all with bottom feeders I just stopped doing it and they have worked fine. whenevr i have an issue I drill out the airholes a tiny bit with a dremmel and blow it out...- Yellowman1972

Well since you used that Pv as your example. Let me first off say that it basically does resemble its counterpart except the kill switch had to be moved and the pot is located a few mm's away from the catchcup.
