If you are only getting a little bit of lag while surfing you can disable the 'use hardware acceleration' setting in the browser and it will help with that. It will still need to be paused for watching video though... Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 4- harmonic

Meh couldn't make it. Had some car problems. Went to replace the drivers side wheel bearing on Friday which went ok but have blown out cv joint boots which apparently cant be easily repaired without replacing the whole axle assembly. Car is still sitting on stands with no drivers side wheel. I...- harmonic

Hummm... Well the only thing those have in common with the one I have lag on is the raid. Though I dont have ssd in it but regular drives set up as a raid 5 but its been giving me some trouble for a long time and I have been planning to switch it from a raid 5 to a 0+1 (it has 4 wd 500gig drives...- harmonic

I didn't notice much of a difference either but heard from several places that you will get more points with the x17 GPU core if it has access to more of the cpu than it can get if you are using all the cores with the smp slot. If it wasnt an i7 pc I wouldnt have messed with it to start with...- harmonic

I didn't mean the client - I meant the os. The laggy pc is the only one out of a bunch that has a 32 bit os. I figured that had something to do with it but if your getting the lag on win7 64 then I guess that cant defining factor. Hummmmm.....- harmonic

There is a flag to throttle back the gpu slot but in my experience it does not work yet. Someone told me that the word on the folding forums is that they were still working on that. Even pausing or stopping the cpu slot on the one I have with the lag does not affect the lag so it doesn't appear...- harmonic
