The stock cooler looks just like some that I have on some old lga775 chips only smaller - the 775 heatsinks are like twice as tall or more. To make even quicker work of it you can chuck the carto in a cordless drill (like its the drill bit - just don't tighten it down too much) and then hold the sandpaper against it while spinning the drill. ;) -

Shoot anybody got an extra decent cpu cooler laying round? the i7 folding with stock cooler and stock clocks is running like 80c. That's a little hot for my blood even though it shouldn't hurt anything but it should be a LOT cooler and I would like to run it faster than 3.5 stock speeds. I'll...- harmonic
