I haven't seen that one before. The simplest fix would prolly be deleting the work folder and if that doesn't fix it do a full uninstall make sure all the folders and stuff have been deleted then reboot and reinstall. Something prolly got corrupted somewhere. Aside from researching and trying to...- harmonic

As a last resort you can start killing processes in task manager that are using cpu. Just be warned that killing the wrong ones could make the pc unstable or otherwise nonfunctional for anything but folding until it is rebooted. I have killed several of the svchost processes in the past that...- harmonic

If its an older window install that you used to use then there are prolly other things trying to run in the background that start slowing it down. If it is going to be a dedicated folding pc then it might help to wipe the os and do a fresh clean install and then install nothing else but the...- harmonic
