I tried this method but it didn't work well. There is not a lot of room in the tank for juice with mesh wicks in there. I found that it didn't really wick any better and lost most of the juice capacity.
For me the best wicking method with any RDTA is to keep the wick very short. I thin out the...
I don't know the exact # but it's the most recent version. I do make my own coils as well as use s few different pre-made coils. My builds range from 0.15 to 0.5 and they all perform the same on the Alien. It's just very inconsistent. I can put the same coils on my Coolfire TC100 or Aspire...
In my opinion the Alien is terrible at TC. Even if you change the TCR settings to get a good vape it won't last very long. After a half tank or so it will get all screwy.
The Serpent Mini fits all but the protected tank requirement. It is a really nice RTA. I've never broken a tank so I can't say if it is more or less sturdy that any other tank.
Best that I have is the Pindad from Bombertech but it's a little pricey. I have the Avocado 22 and 24 which are both really great for flavor and vapor. If you like single coils the Serpent RDTA is nice. I have not tried the new Peerless from Geekvape but it looks like a winner and the reviews...

I'm really looking forward to this one. I love the airflow concept. I am not digging the Ultem parts though. At least it comes with a clear tank option. I just don't see the attraction to Piss Yellow Drip Tips.
I didnt bother to go back and read all of your posts so bear with me. Have you tried a battery from a different manufacturer? I have some Sony batteries (VTC4's I think) that are shorter than my Samsungs.
I hear people say that this or that tank really drinks the juice. Doesn't juice consumption relate directly to vapor production? If it uses a lot of juice it should produce a lot of vapor. If you want to use less juice then build accordingly. Or am I wrong?
It doesnt care about the quality of the wick in that regard. It only reads a runaway rise in resistance as a dry coil. If the wick is too tight or too loose it will not feed liquid properly and result in a dry coil. In my experience all of the Yihi boards do this as well as the DNA 75 and 200...
Some TC boards will do dry burn protection even at set temps above 400. The chip will monitor how fast the resistance is rising to determine whether or not the wick has run dry and then stop suplying power.
According to smoant_official on reddit earlier today....
"Also, the Charon TC software is still on schedule for release this week. I already have the beta version out to a select few members of this forum for final testing. Thank you everyone for your patience!"
I use a Cuboid Mini with the Avocado 22 and it is a stellar mini combination. At about 60 watts it lasts me a good part of the day with moderate use. The Mini is a really great little mod.
