    Sounds like a flooding problem. I always vape at 4 or 5 o'clock without dry hits. Be sure when you set your APV down, it is slightly tilted to always keep the wick wet (another easy lob, Andy.....LOL). That should prevent dry hits.

    There should only be one spacer in the switch. The second spacer is just a spare. If you are not careful, the spacer tends to get lost when you take the switch apart for cleaning.     People who fly alot usually use a ZenInjector, available at ENS. It prevents all those awkward questions/looks. However a blunt needle should be fine.
