    A light torch to the outside should be fine. That silica should withstand the flame as it would with a coil wrapped around it...... :)

    Scabby maybe just try oxidizing the top half and leave the bottom that rides in the tank alone. Just need to make sure you oxidize the top part where the coil is and down far enough past the part that goes through the wick hole. I might try afew like this as I heard it doesn't turn your juice...

    Glad you like it Dusther!! I am really glad I found it when I was looking for a new device. :) Now I am going to see what kind of a coil I can wrap and get the AGA going here after abit. I will try to get one at 1.2 ohm so I can rub it in to Scabby tomorrow that mine will hit it at 1.2. :D
