    DIY CLEAR coffee?

@VaporSmith, nice find. Her site has had that flavor listed as being added to the main section soon for a while, so I'm sure it will be available shortly. Nevermind, I was mistaken nightsong - I looked at a picture I had of a some FA but miscounted. Went and checked the actual flavor, and...

    DIY CLEAR coffee?

The FlavourArt Coffee Espresso should be extremely dark (as I've purchased directly from them twice) and their Cappuccino is lighter but still dark. Now I'm curious, where did you get them from that they were lighter in color? Update: I was mistaken, they are not that dark.

    DIY CLEAR coffee?

Are your atomizers dying after using the dark flavor on it? If so, there is a Coffee (Kona) by Perfumer's Apprentice which is relatively clear. Color does not mean all that much, although it can be an indicator of something wrong if you know exactly which chemical is which color. Many...

    Glycerin + Distilled water?

A large factor is temperature, and in cold weather (or if you keep your air conditioning low) you might want to use up to 20% water + 80% VG. Probably why Switched uses 20% up in Canada and I use about 10%. :P

    DIY Mixing

MacArthurBug did some testing with pure Citric Acid powder a while ago and the effects were fairly insignificant. At best it will add a slight sourness to the liquid, but you probably won't notice it without high amounts. I do wonder about Malic Acid, which is supposed to be more sour than...

All VG is not created equal!

Thanks for the clarification markarich159. Vaping high fructose corn syrup is more scary than my suspicions about NOW were before! 10 lbs of Glycerin is a little less than a gallon, which is $11 at Essential Wholesale. Although if you can get that USP VG locally, the shipping saved is...

All VG is not created equal!

I did a little research and found a nice chart showing the requirements for USP Glycerin: Glycerin Specifications, Crude Glycerin, Technical Grade Glycerin, USP Grade Glycerin Apparently it requires 99.7% minimum purity. I looked around for places that show their test results and many said "up...

    OMG! Capella Waffle flavoring...

I once vaped the Cotton Candy flavoring by itself and it was kind of like shoving an entire ball of cotton candy into my mouth. So if that's what you're going for, use it as much as you want!

Looking for a couple flavor recommendations

The Double Chocolate (Capella or PA) is a sweeter brownie-like chocolate, so maybe with a little of the dark chocolate it's something like Hershey's, but you still might want to add something creamy to it. GoodDog would be better advising you with that as I like the dark cocoa flavor. I don't...

    Help please....recipe conversion

The difficult part for you and a lot of newer mixers now is getting PG/VG proportions right because of the nicotine being in a mixed PG/VG base. Back in the day it was either PG-nic or VG-nic so the calculators aren't very suitable anymore. What you can do is first find out what % of your...

Getting started and would like some advice.

Molecules can't really go 'stale'. See this and maybe also the link in the first post: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/diy-e-liquid/86000-word-about-nicotine-purity-storage.html

    peppermint extract?

Peppermint extract is usually just diluted peppermint oil, or sometimes artificial. Will work fine if you do what GoodDog said and add it a little at a time in a test batch.

    Perfumers Apprentice Flavors

Most people can't tell the difference, you just don't see black sesame seeds in America either because white ones look better on burger buns or McDonald's is racist. Both black and white sesame seeds are used in Chinese cooking. (A third variety of beige colored sesame seeds is not as popular)...

I'll bring some 3ml bottles, don't have any 6ml ones though. Nevermind, resolved. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/pay-forward/97506-wants-needs-requests-288.html#post1883492

I made videos for newbies! In particular, broke newbies...

The nicotine itself is apparently that pure before they dilute it with PG and/or VG. Kind of like how the PG, VG, flavoring, and sometimes nicotine can be FDA approved, but the e-liquid mixture never is. For the rest of you with DIY questions, feel free to ask in the DIY forum. I'm sure MN...

Should 48mg PG be this way?

Excuse me while I go sniff some WD40... I agree with doots for the most part, though. Yellowing is a natural process of a small amount of the nicotine turning into cotinine from exposure to air, and nicotine does have a smell.

    Glass European style dropper bottles

eBay often has good deals on small quantities of glass bottles. I did a search for 'glass euro dropper bottles' and found this for example: 12-10 ml Cobalt Blue Glass Bottles & Euro-Dropper Caps - eBay (item 220657611979 end time Sep-19-10 14:42:27 PDT)

    question for my fellow PIFers.

Interesting site, looks like they use at least LorAnn's and PA, probably FA, and maybe FF or Bickford's (ignore all that if you're confused). However, they don't really have any complex mixtures and they have a LOT of flavors, so it makes me wonder how extensively they have tested their...
