pre-vaper, VERY well informed thanks to ECF, ordered one last night.

I have to say, with the research you've done without even ordering anything, you're halfway to building your own e-cig and mixing your own e-liquid.

    Sweeting the mix

I generally use .5-2 drops of liquid Sucralose per 10ml depending how sweet I want it (I use the splendex.net stuff not EZ-Sweetz but they should be similar). Not sure about EM, but it's not nearly as sweet as Sucralose, so the amount you need to add may distort your %'s too much unless you're...

He probably tests it to make sure it meets the EU6.0 Medical Grade standards but he's told me it's actually from China. Not to say it isn't some of the best stuff around, but it isn't extracted in the UK (it would be a good deal pricier if it was). Kind of like how FSUSA says their stuff is...

    DIY Using Steva as sweetener?

By the way Starchild47, if you're going 100% VG, Ethyl Maltol isn't going to dissolve very well unless you dissolve it in alcohol first and mix that with the VG.

    What about real vanilla extract?

See this thread: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/diy-e-liquid/5483-help-vanilla-holy-grail-has-finally-been-found-happyvaper.html Also check out the Vanilla entry on wikipedia, it's a complex flavor and vanillin is just the main part of it. There are a lot of vanilla flavorings out...

    Sources for natural flavorings?

Jynn's making my life easier. :) I'll add that Nature's Flavors are hit and miss for vaping, and don't have small sizes available (minimum 30ml). Also, Faerie's Finest has all natural flavorings available.

    Site Upgrade - The Aftermath

Sweet. This light is eating away at my skin. Also, if I enter something in the quick reply then hit 'enter' it goes to advanced instead of posting it... not sure it it's supposed to do that.

    DIY Using Steva as sweetener?

What brand of Butterscotch are you using? Might just need to increase the % of flavoring. As GoodDog said, you can use Stevia to sweeten depending on your tastes. You already know about Ethyl Maltol, and you can get a free sample of Sucralose from EZ-Sweetz.

    Dimensional Analysis for calculating ejuice?

Percents are dimensionless already as Hoosier pointed out and it's fairly simple to work with nicotine strength like that. N1 = Nicotine % of your unflavored nicotine liquid (50mg/ml = 5% (well, actually 5.05%)) N2 = Target nicotine % of final liquid P = Proportion of final liquid that needs to...

Question for DIYers -- Fix for perfumey juice?

It's kind of like when you put on perfume. Eventually it fades. Leaving it out can also make some of the good part of the flavoring dissipate, but usually food flavoring has less of those volatile chemicals than perfumes do. Sometimes it can also reduce harshness the same way.

Help with making 5ml using concentrate

It depends on the flavor and brand and your preference. With Perfumer's Apprentice, 10% is usually a good place to start, but you might want more and it's easier to add more flavor than remove it. There are a lot of recommendations in my guide but there isn't one for bubble gum... yet (hint hint).

    The recipe for Swedish Fish

Jynn says you're weird for posting it in factions of parts. *shrug* Personally I use final %'s always so I can easily compare relative strengths and flavor interactions from mixture to mixture. You didn't say what ratio of flavoring to unflavored you use, though, so I'm not sure what to do...
