    I like the way you took what you have and made it work, but being able to pull the battery quick would be a nice feature. Maybe a hinge door instead of the 4 screws holding the front cover on.

    If the bottom pin is threaded no, if it is just press fit then yes. I have attys that are made both ways.

    Another easy fix is to take a nail file and thin the existing bottle. It becomes much softer after a few minutes of work. Then add a 510 grommet (bought a bag of them cheap from FastTech SKU 1886602) to the metal cap before threading the supplied tube back in. It's a snug air tight fit this way.
