    Sounds more like a connection issue to me. Q-tip and some alcohol to clean 510 pin. Possible its a tank/coil issue and not a mod issue

    Totally agree with the above post. If he is used to a nord jumping straight to a mech is probably not a good idea. Get the regulated mod. If he really wants a squonk the "topside" is probably the most used one out there. At least there will be saftty features

    Just build one like this. Its pretty tuff and durable. I build a lot of these. Not super cheap cause its a dna75C but at least you know down the road it can be fixed if anything ever breaks
