I thought the only regulation on nicotine was that you had to be 18 to buy it. As a smoking cessation product it has to be approved but otherwise it's just nicotine.
If it is big tobacco they're just plain stupid. Just think how much money there is to be made with an addictive substance like nicotine that is delivered in a less dangerous way.

I just thought of something. You could put a piece of brass tubing inside to make those connections. Then you could use the solder tabs. Just make sure that it doesnt connect the center pin.
I thought about just putting the right size thread on the right size brass tubing. Then you just need another smaller piece of tubing inside that one separated by some insulator of some sort. (Like Madog's tire valve but made from scratch.)
All I did was solder the switch to the outside casing. Alternately you could just solder a wire directly to the metal "rim" directly under the threads.
