    Grand Opening at Maximum Vapors!!!!!!!!!

I'm patient. Good things come to those who wait! :D And I sympathize on the shipment issues. I used to deal with shipment delays pretty often for work, and it's never any fun. The only thing which I'm concerned with is having some sort of batteries when it arrives, because I know me, and the...

new guy and introduction and questions.

The flavor of juice I'm most afraid to try (and can't say as that I'll ever do) is crab juice. That just sounds so, so disgusting to this west coaster.

Bought my first e-cig from a local shop YUCK!! Please help.

When I first started vaping, I had a couple good tobacco flavors, and then tentatively explored into other stuff. Now, I have one backup tobacco flavor for those times when I want a tobacco flavor, and I commonly vape cinnamon roll, caramel apple, cheesecake, Irish coffee, dulce de leche, or...

You might want to look at this series. Note: it's long. But it has TONS of info. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ecf-library/36180-wonderful-world-vaping-illustrated-guide-e-cigs-part-1-6-a.html

new guy and introduction and questions.

I personally like Vermillion River for tobacco flavors (and they have some good non-tobacco too), VapeDudes for sweet flavors (like caramel apple or cheesecake), Backwoods Brew for both tobacco and unusual flavors and for their espresso flavor, and Liberty Flights for a whole bunch of stuff. :)

Also: as a real basic starting point, those 21st Century ecigs aren't bad... but for most people, they're just a start to what becomes a much more in-depth thing, as you've discovered yourself. :)

new guy and introduction and questions.

There are hundreds and hundreds of good vendors out there. The question I have for you is whether you're looking for any specific flavors (and yeah, just randomly pick flavors that you think you'd enjoy and mention those, because it'll help pin down what you like). For example: creamy? Spicy...

    RY4 and a Lesson Learned

Most people don't think about that -- but it's true, it makes a huge difference. And Q-tips are wonderful for that, by the by.

    After taste

Something else I'll recommend: drink TONS of water. The water will also help cleanse the palate to aid in helping you taste again, and since both PG and VG juices tend to dehydrate you, you need the water anyhow. :)

Bought my first e-cig from a local shop YUCK!! Please help.

Oh no. No, no, no. What you have there is the standard ridiculously-overpriced convenience-store ecig that uses prefilled junk cartridges. :) I am going to strongly recommend you get a different starter kit (most "good" ecig starter kits are around the $39-60 range, but do not all look like...

    Bars new to vaping

A bump puts the post back on the 'new posts' list so people will notice it. :)

    After taste

I'm still adapting to my taste buds coming back to life, and it's getting mighty close to a month. However, the first few days were the pits. Metallic/sour aftertaste that had me switching flavors rapidly (I think that's a detox thing), constant brushing of teeth, the works. :) You may find, at...

    have extra ejuice

As has been said above, there is a classifieds section.. but you have to have some posts under your belt first. I'd chat with other people in the new members' forum for a little bit, because I think the classifieds section might actually require 15 posts (could be wrong about that).

    New Here...hello all!

For the OP: Welcome! :D For the person who asked about nicotine levels: I smoked lights (non-brand name, as my husband and I rolled our own using light tobacco and filter tubes) for years. Started at 24, almost immediately dropped to 18. I'm considering dropping a bit further still, but haven't...

    Looking for guidence

I believe the 555 term is actually a reference to a physical tobacco, although I can't swear to that. RY4 started as a name of a particular vendor's juice, and then a lot of people started replicating it, I think, or so I read somewhere around here (darned if I know where I read it, but it was...

    Hi Everyone

I will second the Lavatube-type setup as a variable voltage device, but I'll also throw in a recommendation to check out Maximum Vapors (they're here: Welcome to Maximum Vapors - E Cig Supplier ), as he carries some nice little basic box-mods that are quite inexpensive and are good to start out...

    SMOKECIGNALS.COM POLL: PV vs E-Cig

I tend to refer to mine as my nicotine inhaler. The term 'inhaler' is used heavily for medical purposes, and thus doesn't carry the stigma that 'cigarette' does -- and it explains precisely what the device is for me -- a smoking cessation device that happens to also be an alternative nicotine...

Just Bought a Pure Smoke Starter Kit.....uh oh

I wish I could help pin down the threading info for your kit, but I'll be honest with you -- look into something that's got a more "universal" threading for the future. I recommend 510 threading for most new vapers, if only because you can experiment with pretty much everything that's out there...
