    I don't know if someone has already mentioned this to you or not, but the switch works best if you push it near the edge, rather than pushing it straight up, as the slight angle causes the switch to make contact on the side.

    I have no experience with the kick, but there have been a couple of folks that have tried them, and said that it was very difficult to get out without damaging them.

    I do pretty much the same as OB. I only use just a tiny bit of Noalox on the head of the screw, and the bottom of the battery.
