As I have read here, couple hundred similar threads point to the ehpro kfl+ is thought to be the most consistent of the clones.

My VTR has been great. I even have the one with the spinning wheel. I really don't use the screen much admittedly. I am a watts guy, so It rarely gets changed, and I check my topper resistance the first time I put it on, set my wattage and that's about it. It doesn't get used again until I...
Now I feel a bit like doofus... But... I isolated the source of the odd aroma!
At my desk, I have a small ceramic heater placed at an angle beside me on the upper shelf to my right. This shelf is just above my head height while sitting at the desk. Turns out, as I exhale, I blow the vapor up to...
Completely disassemble it and make sure there is no plastic stuck in the main airshaft. Very common problem on the Hcigar clones from reading I've seen here. You have to take it fully apart anyways to drill it out.
5mm seems a bit high. Try lowering the coil to about 2mm and give it a go...
I've found 30awg to be the "flood saver" for my style of vaping. 5/64 microcoil with 3 strands of peaches and cream. No flavor wick and the chimney grommet in place. Can chain vape, leave sit all day and over night with no trouble.

I know right! I don't mind the smell. I'd actually like to find out what it is so I can replicate it. Was great this morning, but alas in the search I had to change everything and now it's gone.

I've taken that coil apart. No nothing on the insulator. Looks same as always. I have cleaned everything. It truly is the weirdest problem I have faced to date in vaping.

I am actually referring to the bottom post insulator. I don't think I would want to try anything hot enough to singe the chimney grommet. That would have to be super hot!
I too enjoy the smell. Actually wouldn't mind replicating it for a few juices I have that smell terrible but taste great. Just can't put my finger on a cause. lol.
Been rebuilding the heads now for a while for my PT2's. I generally use an Aerobase on all of them, with the airflow wide open. My builds are 30awg A-1 Kanthal 1.8-2.0 ohm microcoils, with cotton wick. Mostly Peaches and cream yarn these days, but the occasional cotton ball is used. I have never...
Head over to the community boards and watch the pif threads. Classifieds are another better place for this sort of thing.

I run three of them all the time always wide open. I haven't experienced any issues of them coming apart for me. Wonder if you just got a bum one. It does happen alot with this stuff. In my short time I got a bad SID, a malfunctioning SVD, an outright POS Nautilus, and countless junk coils for...
I haven't had any issues with my aerobase and tightening all the way down. Does just fine on a VTR, a Vamo V5, and an SVD. If anything I found my aerobase actually solved the grommet squish problem. First time I've heard of this problem carrying over to the aerobase.
Maybe should have been mentioned also... The low figures are usually for stock coils. I should have said that earlier. If I use the coils I build, I am finding they like more about 8 watts. The higher wattage coils I build are 1.5 microcoils with cotton wick.
Unscrew the drip tip, then unscrew the top cap. Pour juice in the tank beside the head. Screw top cap back on, screw drip tip back on, then let the tank sit for at least 10 minutes. Then vape away.
I would love this! I'm not in need really though, so if someone else is in need I gladly step aside. Never had a tc.
