    Some of those symptoms happen to me if I chain at 1ohm or less, trying to stay at 1.3-5 now. Did your coils/ wicks change?

    I have 30 guage set at 1.5 ohms now (full arm extension) and it drops to 1.3 with about a 45 degree swing. After that my coil starts bunching. Next coil I do will be tight with the arms as close as they go, and I'll be able to move the hole closer to that side, now. I'd love to do some damage...

    How about tinning the threads with a layer of of solder, then soldering the pins together? Or if you have some thin kanthal or stranded wire, stick a few strands straight into the hole before you screw them together.

    I'm getting 0.2 difference in resistance when I adjust the arm. Found it shorting a couple times, still need to grind the corners off the arm. I think I need to cut my nic again, this thing is hitting like a BEAST.

    Mine came that way, or perhaps I did it without knowing. When I left the washer out of the mix I was able to tighten them down. This allows the pin to drop out when you turn the mod upside down, but I think that makes disassembly easier.

    Yes, there's a nut and lock washer which will loosen to let it swing freely, but you don't even have to loosen it to adjust, because as you probably know, a floating positive pin inside a silicone insulator doesn't provide much friction, anyway.     Well, I don't like the adjustment arm. You can't tighten it into position since its mounted to a floating center post. I have to make sure to tighten the positive screw first so it doesn't yank my coil apart when it swivels. I've been holding it over with my thumb while I tighten down to keep it...

    Thanks, I like a slightly tight draw but I agree, that probably needs to be done. Good thing I didn't hand it to her with 1ohm on it, lol. She's lucky I went one wrap over on this big wick I'm trying out. One coil less and a drilled out hole should make this thing insane.

    You would most likely tear your NR/resistance splices apart or just yank the whole thing out. Nothing in there is as solid as a coil screwed right onto two posts like a genesis or dripper.
