Is using "a Kick" really necessary for mechanical mods

When my first RBA was in the mail, I was dead set to load up on 32 gauge for my trusty 2-2.5 ohms, the spot where my favorite liquid seemed to shine. I am not that far into this part of the game and I'm already making 1-1.3 on 28 and 30. There is definitely no comparison between the way these...

Looks like you've been vaping peanut butter on that coil. Macro shots are sometimes oddly revealing, like HDTV.

Terminator/Nautilus/Choddy/Oddy Clone Pics, Tip,Tricks and Quirks

How are you guys grounding the NR? If it's the Navy lifeguard or whatever method of wrapping it around the wick in the channel, this fluctuation issue can happen when the mouth piece is moved. I have a pic in post 90-something which shows this method, if you look at it you should see some of the...

    lost by USPS, MOV?

USPS tracking is kind of useless, although I have been able to speak to post office workers in person, and they seem to have a crystal ball that tells them everything. I once shipped an item to Miami, 2 hours east of me, and asked the clerk why it hadn't been delivered for a week. Turns out they...

    Joyetech eRoll : User REVIEW

Just a guess here, I'm not sure how it works, but I'd imagine it might require pressure to operate. If that's the case, just like a juice delivery system like Odysseus, if the pressure is released by a broken seal, air will enter the inside causing juice to exit. Perhaps if it's not just a screw...

I don't know about the screw, just something I read and figured I'd pass the tip on. I want one but will wait for a competitor to jump in.

    How to detect a short?

I would sort of equate rapidly vented gas and six foot flames with an explosion.

    How to detect a short?

It will read zero or fluctuating ohms if the short exists in the RBA. If it occurs at the connection with the mod, it will not fire and you may feel excessive heat at the top or bottom of the mod body.

Is using "a Kick" really necessary for mechanical mods

Luckily, this whole thing is about personal experience and preference, and if a large group find something that works for them, we don't need everyone else to understand why.

    Joyetech eRoll : User REVIEW

I read that resolving the Ucan leaking issue is simply a matter of tightening a hex screw somewhere. I don't have one on me, but if you see a screw, I suggest you keep it snug and see if it helps.

    First Decent Experience With Atomizer

The problem with those charts is that they're based on the preferences of the person who made them. In this "hobby" limits are always pushed, and certain devices and combinations can perform better or worse than others. The guide is a good reference at best. There are too many variables between...

    First Decent Experience With Atomizer

Yep, Looks like no reason to go over 4. To make things worse, the load results are the upper limit, they drift down as you hold the button, into the 3.8 range. Some of them start at 3.95 then drop. So the reason some are only listed to the tenth is because it's my guesstimated average...

Is using "a Kick" really necessary for mechanical mods

You use a kick if you want a variable voltage device but all you have is a mechanical. There are perks to having one, like constant voltage and being able to swap it between devices, but the main purpose of a mech is to be the yin to technology's yang, nothing sesitive to worry about. Kicking a...

Did you forget DonDaBoomVape? That man is singularly responsible for schooling thousands upon thousands of new vapers with so many threads very similar to this one. That's why I like this thread, straight forward info that's easy and fun to absorb. I NEED an eRoll! I knew it as soon as I saw...

    Kanger MT3 questions

I just recoiled/wicked one with 34 gauge kanthal and 3 strands of silica. It was pretty darn easy considering the small space, since the leads just slip into the connector and are held in place by the snap-in positive post and insulator. I evened the glow out some more and it's vaping like a...

Anyone tried the Phoenix DRA XL

Bought some already, planning on stuffing it into my DRA XL whenever it gets here. How well does it stand up to dry burns? I haven't used anything but silica and SS and I like to dry burn and clean my coils every night.
